September 3, 201114 yr The piston Duke, yes, it is OK The turbine Duke, no it does not work.. is this a bug no one has noticed? Bert
September 3, 201114 yr It does work - this is the response I got when asking them about it: "We made some changes to the nav1/nav2 ident buttons to make them more realistic. As well as the nav1/nav2 ident buttons on the audio panel, you need to "pull out" the ident knob on the corresponding nav radio. For example - to turn the nav1 ident sound on you need to switch on the NAV1 ident button on the audio panel, and pull out the IDENT knob on the Nav 1 radio." September 3, 201114 yr Hmmm, how do I do that on an RXP GNS, I wonder.. Not sure about the 430, but the 530 decodes the morse code for you and displays the identifier. September 7, 201114 yr Author Not sure about the 430, but the 530 decodes the morse code for you and displays the identifier. Hmm I don't think my 430 does this??? I got it working on the default stack with the knob but on the 430 in NAV1 slot any way to do it? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
February 20, 201313 yr A reply to this thread - better late than never I suppose! Here is a way to get the NAV 1 morse code idents to work with the RXP GNS 530 in the Turbine Duke: 1. Copy the whole [Window 01] radio stack section from the default C172\ Panel ‘panel.cfg’. 2. Open the RealAir Duke Turbine\Panel ‘panel.cfg’ – after making and storing a backup copy. 3. Paste the [Window 01] radio stack section under the other [Window xx] entries. 4. Renumber [Window 01] to the next available number. I used [Window 05]. 5. Add an entry to ‘Window Titles’ at the top of the cfg file: Window05=Radio Stack 6. Save. 7. Start FSX and the Turbine Duke, VC cockpit view. 8. Activate the new popup (ie. Window05 = <Shift + 6>) 9. Cycle ON then OFF the NAV1 audio button (and NAV2 if there is another GNS installed). 10. Do not close the popup, but cycle through the views (<S>) back to the VC cockpit. The NAV 1 ident button will now function as it should.
