In no way logitech's are the best the only thing they have is more bass and power
Too true - Logitech is just noise. I've heard Altec Lansing is decent. Personally, I would recommend Klipsch. I've had my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 setup for 7 years now!

I really can't hear the difference in noises. I don't have super hearing. Honestly, if you don't get used to high end sound the you wont want really high end speakers.

Klipsch are definitely real good and it compares well with the MX5021 ( I just loved them :( ).

Yes it's all on the listener , high end sound and high end speakers are too different things. JBL (James Burrough Lansing) is former Altec Lansing . And with the SB live the Lansings and Klipsch give a solid sound. Different speakers for different things, there high's - mid's and low frequency sounds.

That's not good at all it sucks cause if something happens with your onboard sound card or your network card goes bad and all you have is some old parts that are pci slot cards your screwed. not a good idea at least for now. would be satisfied with at least 1 pci slot as a back up.

I wonder if it would be possible to turn it into like a external sound card. Kind of like an external HDD, you have your PCI interface and a USB and power.
