September 8, 201114 yr Author No problems with anything.it did not want to load direct x from the installer ,said cabinet and catographic or something problem so I downloaded direct x from Internet and that was fine, downloaded visual +++ 2008 and 2010 which went fine as well. Pmdgmd11 runs perfectly which also uses initialization so I'm stumped. No problems with anything.it did not want to load direct x from the installer ,said cabinet and catographic or something problem so I downloaded direct x from Internet and that was fine, downloaded visual +++ 2008 and 2010 which went fine as well. September 8, 201114 yr its a little advanced but i'll try and explainin "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX" there are 2 files, fsx.cfg and dll.xmlopen fsx.cfg with notepad, search for [trusted] and delete these lines C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL.lzwqtonutathebtlhizteweoqoqunbertukhzzhk=2C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX_3.DLL.eknhnzzienbinturnqkhzclbzriiqzaekkkcwlnb=2 save the file and run fsx again, it will ask u to re-auth the dll'sopen dll.xml in notepad and make sure u have these lines, (only once) <Launch.Addon> <Name>PMDG HUD interface</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName></Launch.Addon> Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz @ 3.12Ghz (390x8) | 4Gb (2x2Gb) OCZ Reaper 1066Mhz @ 1040Mhz Asus P5K-Deluxe | nVidia 295GTX 1.8Gb | Win7 64bit
September 9, 201114 yr Hello Shannon, I have a similar modern system and can not fly the NGX at all dut to immediate CTDs upon loading. After many hours on line with the excellent PMDG engineers it was decided that I must wait for the SP1 release later this month - see post. This has saved me the anxiety and wasted time of trying numerous unsuccessful fixes and tweaks. Now I can get back to flying the JS41......... Good luck, Bruce Bailey Bruce Bailey. September 9, 201114 yr Shannon, What is the path and folder to FSX for your current install? Where is your original Win Vista-32 hard drive right now? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 9, 201114 yr After a couple of weeks of successfully flying the 737NGX I loaded a flight tonight with the aircraft and experienced the same FSX crash involving MSVCR90.DLL as the OP! Why the 737NGX would suddenly start crashing FSX is baffling. I've now downloaded the latest full installer from PMDG, uninstalled/deleted stray files+folders/reinstalled the 737NGX, and still have the same crash-to-desktop error! I've just tried to submit a support ticket to PMDG... but their support site isn't responding (oh the irony!)... I'll try again later. RegardsPeter J
September 9, 201114 yr Author I hav Shannon, What is the path and folder to FSX for your current install? Where is your original Win Vista-32 hard drive right now? I have 4 hard drives. I backed up all on an external one and formated the others,so no windows vista or any other fsx files on the pc. I fresh installed FSX as per avsim guildlines on drive e. It runs fine. I then installed MD11 which also runs fine. I will try J41 tonight as well. I have tried NGX over ten times instaling ,uninstalling etc following alot of advice on this topic to no avail.
