October 5, 201114 yr I've recently started to look into building a pit, and while project magenta and others do seem nice (although expensive) they don't come with a flight model. For the moment I'm just interested in being able to display pmdg gauges on a different screen. I can do it If I click on them but, they then dissapear from the virtual cockpit. (I already posted about this in the general forum) Does anyone know if the pmdg gauges could be shown on another screen (MCP, EICAS and nav displays) without them dissapearing from the vc? Thanks a lot! Arthur Fabre UAL1112 - ualva.org
October 5, 201114 yr I've had this working on a separate laptop with the NGX, but without the SDK (and CPFlight driver for my hardware MCP), there are / will be limitations.Seems to have great potential, for a fraction of the cost of Proj Magentahttp://www.aerosoft.com.au/home/home.html Stephen Kennedy-Joneshttps://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-7259
October 5, 201114 yr I'm amazed there haven't more threads of this ilk. I'd also love to have a purely NGX based pit, having the pfd and nd on separate displays. The SDK should cover the hardware side of things (CP Flight et al), but there still seems to be no support for nd and pfd displays (unless something changed that I didn't hear of). Can't be bothered with Project Magenta etc. I had the Sim Avionics software (a good alternative to PM) a while ago, and although it was realistic, it had its limitations. It's PMDG all the way from now on! Ed Haslam
October 5, 201114 yr CPFlight's driver already supports this, and it'll work with iFly, Level-D etc. Just waiting for the NGX SDK, then the revised CPFlight driver encompassing the NGX, and they 'should' all talk to one another... October 5, 201114 yr A very basic home cockpit is possible with the NGX but if you want a full overhead and everything elsethen it's Project Magenta all the way.+ lots of various custom software is necessay also. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
