October 7, 201114 yr I'll be ordering my new PC over the next few days and was wondering if it's worth getting the 580 over the 560, the 580 is quite a lot more in price but would I notice much difference between the two in FSX? Thanks guys.
October 7, 201114 yr I doubt you would see much of a difference in FSX, since it's the CPU that is important. I have a 1GB 560Ti in my i5 2500k powered PC, and FSX runs great. October 8, 201114 yr 580 is a big jump up over the 560. If you desire high levels of AA for image quality.....go with the 580 Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
October 8, 201114 yr Author Thankyou guys, that's sorted then. New PC ordered, complete with a 580 GTX.
October 9, 201114 yr 16xS AA is perfectly fine for FSX, and the 560Ti has no problem with that. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

October 9, 201114 yr 16xS with a 560Ti? Wow..... I wouldn't run 16xS with a 580! Perf hit is way too much IMHO. Each to their own of course. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
October 9, 201114 yr Do you play other games other then FSX? If you do, then you made a great choice to go with the 580. Danny
October 10, 201114 yr Hey Chris, what's the difference between the 560 and the 560Ti? I am not an expert on graphics cards, but this link shows you the (relatively minor) differences between the two cards...... http://www.anandtech...ottom-overclock 16xS with a 560Ti? Wow..... I wouldn't run 16xS with a 580! 16xS is hardly an AA setting that requires insane amounts of power. The GTX580 should be able to handle it with ease.
