October 8, 201114 yr I have a lot of aircraft in my FSX airplanes folder. But after firing up FSX, they are not showing in the SELECT AIRCRAFT window. I have tried sharing & changing permissions... Any ideas? Mark Mark Harris ESA1178 Senior Captain http://www.eurostar-aviation.ch/
October 8, 201114 yr Are they AI? Do they have panel folders? If they do not have panel folders, a sure sign they are AI, they will not show up in the SELECT AIRCRAFT window. regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

October 9, 201114 yr Check your fsx cfg and under [MAIN] make sure the following is there. User Objects=Airplane, HelicopterSimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\AirplanesSimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\RotorcraftSimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehiclesSimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\BoatsSimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\AnimalsSimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc If not, rename your cfg to fsx.bak and let fsx rebuild a new one. Do it regardless. October 9, 201114 yr With aircraft, do you mean actual models (including all repaints), or do you mean specific repaints? If you mean specific repaints, check that the repaint entry in the associated aircraft.cfg is correct. Check for:- correct fltsim.x numbering. If there are double numbers, repaints will not show.- correct title. If there are double titles, repaints will not show.- sim= should have an entry. Without it, the plane is not coupled to an .air file, and FSX won't be able to determine how the plane flies.- model entered. Without a model, FSX doesn't know on what to apply the repaint.-texture entered. That should be logical: without the texture entry correct, the repaint itself will not appear on the model and you'll look at a blank model.
