January 23, 200422 yr Can someone take a look at Wolfgang Angermueller's "Approaching Funchal" video (an 8 minute cockpit film of a Lauda flight from Vienna to Madeira) and tell me the name of the first audio track? It's some kind of classical piece that's not in the credits. Thanks a million! The video is here: http://www.privatpilot.org/videoshtml/funchal.htm and here: http://www.fsplanet.com/01072003.htm Boyd Barker, Senior Command CaptainDirector of Special ProjectsKBOS Hub ManagerWestWind Airlineswww.flywestwind.com
January 24, 200422 yr Nice vid although the landing is the 'easy' one to 23 not 05 :-)I have recently been watching Discovery Wings and have been amazed at the amount of stick movement on finals even in slightly 'ify' winds.
January 26, 200422 yr Yes. Agreed. Great video, but what's that music at the beginning? It's driving me crazy!Boyd Barker, Senior Command CaptainDirector of Special ProjectsKBOS Hub ManagerWestWind Airlineswww.flywestwind.com

January 26, 200422 yr Great video. Boy, FS9 really doesn't give that sense of speed on short final that you see here. I was also struck by how soon they were on the AP. The gear had barely thupm Re: the music. It actually sounds kind of modern and new-ageish to me. Though, now that I think about it, it might be a section of Carmina Burana by Orff. I seem to recolect that piece has a section that has a simple driving beat like the music here.
January 26, 200422 yr Finally managed to see this vid using some funky codec that allowed me to watch real media files in ms media player lol :DAnyway, about the music in the opening, I am 99,9% certain its by a artist/group called "Era". I have no idea what title is but that gregorian chanting sounds very much like Era :)By the way I stumbled on another Funchal landing vid when searching for this one, and its pretty neat too using a ATR-200.Link here: http://jetphotos.net/flighttofunchal/The music for that movie is a quite fitting one I might add ;)
January 27, 200422 yr I just have to say that this video is simply hilarious! The sound track is, well... interesting. It starts with this "classical" piece, and then a really cheesy song during pushback, giving place to Tina Turner during takeoff and climb. And finally, approaching Madeira, this "black attitude" rap song... It's so out of place that it's extremely amusing. :DAnd to top it off the really "enthousiastic" lady marshaller in the end. :-lolMartin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealingPS. I just watched the ATR video... It seems that "Simply the Best" and Funchal cockpit videos are inseparable!
January 28, 200422 yr >And to top it off the really "enthousiastic" lady marshaller>in the end. :-lollol, yeah I would have made her out to be more of a cafeteria lady - maybe regular person was sick that day :D
January 28, 200422 yr Don't remember where I got it, but I got it in mpeg, downloaded in mpeg...... Then again, I downloaded it ages ago, they may have converted formats and re-uploaded since.... :/ Declared weather: FSX: ASN / FS9: ASE
