October 19, 201114 yr Right now, about 20 minutes out of KPHL and headed for Lima, Peru, flying a Delta 777. I simply can't see why anybody would remove FS9 from their hard drive only to use FSX for that reason. I simply can't! I have both, as most everybody else, but to date in my personal opinion, there is no other M.S. flight simulation platform that can achieve simulation of Heavy Iron flight...than FS9 with all added goodies running with it. I have a wonderfully detailed Delta Triple Seven flying over and through: REX Extreme OverdriveActive Sky EvolutionPro Environment II ...and dozens of custom landclass, airports and other topographical features. Post Edit: Just thought to add that I'm running FS9 with every slider to max position and every box checked off, on an i7-980/GTX 285 platform. I have FS9 locked down to 60 FPS. If not, it runs well over the 100 mark..... 60 CONSTANT FPS, with today's cloud base solid out to the horizon 10,000 feet below my FL260. Pure H.I. simulation heaven. Nothing to compare out there for General Aviation flight than FSX loaded up. For Heavy Iron/Commercial, though....FS9 (third party loaded...) there is nothing else to compare it to, running on a current, high-end platform. Simply nothing.... My opinion. Others will and can vary. Back to the flight...the F.O. needs to take a bathroom and coffee break....(smile!) Mitch'er

The FAA takes a rather dim attitude toward single pilot ops in a 777

October 22, 201114 yr Yep I have to agree. Apart from from one OOM, I have had nothing other than a flawless experiance with FS9. FSX obviously has it qualities, but not enough for me to change. I am very happy where am I am, until Flight comes out ! Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. October 22, 201114 yr Apart from from one OOM, Make sure your FS9.exe is 'Large Address Aware' if your using Windows 7 64bit. OOM issues should no longer be a problem with Windows 7 64bit. This was sorted out a long time ago, a missing texture file was the culprit, if I remember rightly. Regards Tristan Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. October 24, 201114 yr Author Hi !as so happy with performance and quality, could you share with me your set-up in fs9.cfg ?many thanksregards !JM---------------------------------------------------------------------------Just taking a coffee break from an FSX flight, and saw your post. JM, if you just max everything out within FS9, all slider to the right, all boxes checked, and then save and exit FS9, you will have my exact fs9.cfg file. I am using no tweaks for FS9. Just max'ed out.Cheers,Mitch
