Bristol to Exeter Scenario Pack

Featured Replies

Not only is this review woefully short and almost devoid of content, it is also extremely misleading. The description of the scenario "GD-1M93 Paignton to Manchester Piccadilly" says that "This scenario will have you on a tight schedule to Piccadilly with multiple stops." This would lead the reader to expect that the scenario covers the hundreds of miles journey from Paignton in the south west of England to Manchester Piccadilly station in the north of England. However, this is not so. As Just Trains themselves describe the scenario:"Briefing: Your calling points this afternoon are Tiverton Parkway, Taunton, Weston-Super-Mare and Bristol Temple Meads, where you are due to arrive at 15:57." In other words, you are driving just that small portion of the journey between Tiverton and Bristol.Similarly, what the reviewer describes as "GD-1V54 Dundee to Newquay - A cross country run from Dundee to St. Davids with multiple stops.", suggesting a journey of more than 500 miles from Scotland to Devon, is in fact more accurately described by Just Trains themselves as:"Briefing: After your departure from Bristol you will call at Taunton, Tiverton Parkway and Exeter St Davids." In other words, a journey of only 80 miles.I would respectfully suggest that you either edit this review heavily so that it's no longer misrepresenting the size and scope of this product, or else use Just Trains' description directly. Better still, pull the entire review, because it simply doesn't have sufficient critical content to make it deserve the description of 'review'.

Apologies for being off-topic, but as I've lived in Taunton and had to take this trip many times in real life, I truly hope the virtual train drivers can make it on time more often--tis a shameful route in real life for punctuality.

Why was this review published here at all? Is it AVSIM policiy to review train simulation add-ons?

MGH, AVSIM covers multiple simulation platforms... Look at the categories in our file library. wink.png
