Go to your FSX controls, Radios, there you will see shortcuts for all the idents. Try those.

You aren't by chance using Ctrl+ any of the numbers from the top of the keyboard are you? Ctrl+4 is a hidden ADF Ident key which dosen't show on the controls set-up. It had me scratching me head until last week. I use the Ctrl+ number keys for views with Ezdok, just had to make sure nothing was using Ctrl+4 and make sure in the FSX control menu that any of the radio Ctrl keys were deleted.Hope it helps.

Yes, I had this sound after configurating EZdok, too. I've used the shortcut "CRTL+4" for the OH-panel. In FSX menue, there were not "CRTL" shortcuts assigned. But after erasing the "CRTL+4" shortcut from the EZdok configuration the morse sound has gone.Patric

Yes, I'm using Ctrl+4 for one of the views. Quite important key though...Can't we delete it from standard.xml? <Entry> <Key>CTRL+4</Key> <Down>RADIO_DME1_IDENT_TOGGLE</Down> </Entry> Can't try it now since I'm inflight.

If you didn't want to go into the standard.xml, you could just reassign Ctrl+4 via the standard control menu to something unimportant that you don't use and won't affect the PMDG, say like 'tail hook'. You will get the message that it is already assigned to ADF Ident, but just ok it. BUT, do this with a default a/c or you might disable it with the ident still on with no way of turning it off without going into the standard.xmlEt voila!

Isn't the point that there should be (no complaints here - I am completely impressed with the accuracy of this Airplane's simulation) a way of doing this via the simulation directly using a button somwhere on the panels. Surely that is the way a pilot would do it. What would a pilot press to turn on or off the morse code. Wouldn't there also be a volume control on the radio panels. I also use the ctl combination for the radio sounds turn on as a common used EZdoc view so they get turned on by accident most of the time.Peter Rowan

Have a look at the following page FCOMv2 1.20.17. If you look at item 5 on the diagram the lower row of buttons control the sounds for the morse idents. If a button is lit up it means the ident will be heard. So just push the button and the light will go out and the ident will not be heard

If you have Ctrl+4 mapped in EZdoc for a view, you can press all the buttons in the cockpit you like, it won't turn the morse off. No light will be on, so you can't turn it off from the cockpit. Just follow my advice above, map Ctrl+4 to another item that isn't used on the PMDG, then you can start pressing buttons to hear morse if you like.
