PMDG NGX 737 ILS approach download link for practice? FSX
Hi there, Might I suggest FSiPanel over at Flight1. I bought it a few days ago and it has been designed to practice circuits and approaches. It sets everything physical up for you, all you need to do on the NGX is set the FMC. It is great for those days when you don't have much time or when you want to practice approaches in different conditions. Just my pennies worth! Regards, Gav Gavin Lovegrove

ILS morse code
If you have Ctrl+4 mapped in EZdoc for a view, you can press all the buttons in the cockpit you like, it won't turn the morse off. No light will be on, so you can't turn it off from the cockpit. Just follow my advice above, map Ctrl+4 to another item that isn't used on the PMDG, then you can start pressing buttons to hear morse if you like.

If you didn't want to go into the standard.xml, you could just reassign Ctrl+4 via the standard control menu to something unimportant that you don't use and won't affect the PMDG, say like 'tail hook'. You will get the message that it is already assigned to ADF Ident, but just ok it. BUT, do this with a default a/c or you might disable it with the ident still on with no way of turning it off without going into the standard.xmlEt voila!

You aren't by chance using Ctrl+ any of the numbers from the top of the keyboard are you? Ctrl+4 is a hidden ADF Ident key which dosen't show on the controls set-up. It had me scratching me head until last week. I use the Ctrl+ number keys for views with Ezdok, just had to make sure nothing was using Ctrl+4 and make sure in the FSX control menu that any of the radio Ctrl keys were deleted.Hope it helps.

Best ATC
Radar Contact 4 is excellent if you don't want to use a headset and just press buttons. VoxATC is also very good if you do want to use a headset and communicate with ATC using your voice. I use RC4 most of he time, you can elect to fly SIDs and STARs if you wish. Have a search on google and there are various posts out there that compare the different products.I also bought Proflight Emulator by Aerosoft. It's worth a look, it's like RC4 that it is a push button response to ATC.

FSUIPC and NGX = Smooth as Butter - Well Almost!
Thank you Paul,I've been looking at this for a few days now.Just trying to figure out how to activate reverse thrust using a button as I'm only using a joystick with a throttle, not a yoke and seperate throttle. Any takers if that can be done?? I have tried, but just can't seem to get it to work properly.Thanks again Paul.Just read your post again - I will try programming F2 to a button and see if I get better results!!

PMDG 737NGX SP1 && PMDG 737-600/700 Release Schedule
I say very little on these forums, I just sit back and read them. I guess I'll get flamed, because that's all that seems to be happening in this topic. Everyone's just ripping into each other. On the other hand, I might be ignored. Because of the way some people get on the defensive here, many people are put off saying what they really feel.Now, we all know that family comes first, no-one is that shallow to believe otherwise. We are a small community who, deep down, care when someone among us is suffering. But PMDG isn't a charity, we have all paid well earned money for this excellent product, some people have still got issues with the NGX and people are becoming frustrated.Someone else from PMDG could have updated us. Ok, we all want the SP1 and 600-700 released but to be honest, we can all wait until the time is right and it's ready. No doubt, there will still be issues when it is released, but we will be closer to a perfect product.But the important thing is communication. If you elect to advise your customers about delays or product updates, then be prepared to keep updating your customer, not just leave them to get frustrated with each other. The company I work for still continues to run and communicate to its customers even though I'm currently off work having had my toenail removed. Apple still released iOS 5 even though Steve Job's sadly passed (I'm waiting to be flamed about comparing a tiny company like PMDG to a giant like Apple. Apple grew to their customer base, they started small in the beginning, just like PMDG is now!).Look guys, I believe that PMDG should lock these announcements, but I also know it would still be discussed somewhere on the forum. The point is, everyone has their own views on how things should be done. We all care about personal issues, PMDG are a small company (although, not a 'one-man band') where one person out of the loop may delay the release of products, but like the NGX, there should be redundancies built in as far as communicates are concerned. Couldn't someone else from PMDG keep us updated instead of letting their customers second guess release dates, getting annoyed when dates pass and generally get frustrated with each other. I understand that you can't make promises about release dates (Apple comparison again - I know Apple have delayed products and fixes in the past, I'm sure every company has), but advise your customers and be honest; we'll get over it if there are delays.PMDG, thank you for your excellent products, thank you for the fixes, look after you families, but please talk to us and let us know what's happening. We will wait for patches and fixes - we understand there is more to life!Let the flaming commence!Gavin Lovegrove

Favourite Planner? .rte..
Evening guys,I second EFB! I have only recently discovered it but it truly is wonderful. I have got vRoute, FSC9 and FSBuild but in combining these with EFB and it's visual flight following, checklists and WX, you truly do get the full works. And for clarity, I'm a qualified FAA Flight dispatcher who is using SITA and Jeppsen flightplanning software daily. Also, I'm also using Airdisplay to enable me to run EFB on my iPad. Works wonders!G
