November 12, 201114 yr I finally was at 100 feet RA, autoland ready, and at 50 feet, when 'FLARE' engaged, the airplane pulled up, and suddenly started banking to the right. I tried to pull out but it caused me to crash! >:( after a 4 and a half hour flight, too! Made me mad, now I wanna know why it happened. FS2004 Forever
November 12, 201114 yr Come on Chris, you have been using FS long enough to know that nobody is going to be able to tell you what went wrong with the information you have given. Ask your self the other side of the same question, if you wanted your aircraft to bank during the flare, how many different ways could you do it deliberately? Now ask if yourself if you might have done one of them unintentionally. Paul Smith.

November 12, 201114 yr The real question is, when do YOU actually fly the aircraft? 4 1/2 hour flight and you were autolanding? Why not just watch a video? Richie Walsh

November 12, 201114 yr Author OK, I didn't bank deliberitly, I have the altimeters set correctly, and FSX turbulence is turned off. I prefer flying it over watching a video too. I just want some ideas as to what might have went wrong. I'll also note that the 'ROLLOUT' annunciation didn't appear, which I found strange, and must mean I did something wrong or something's wrong with my plane. I just want a little help, now can I please get that? FS2004 Forever
November 13, 201114 yr That same scenario was happening to me with either the RTM or the first fix. I had to clean uninstall and reinstall twice and then never had a problem. ASE weather has been known to cause those sudden uncontrolled banks in PMDG models when using the DWC mode. If you are using ASE, the solution seems to be a registered version of FSUIPC with turbulence / gusts /variation all checked to OFF and I believe an adjustment of the turbulence factor in the FSX.cfg file. The ASE support site has the correct settings in their "knowledge-base" menu. If you have already applied these tweaks then it is either one of those FSX / Windows conundrums that happen to all of us occasionally (sorry it happened after a 4.5 hr flight). My suggestion is to set up several test flights to that airport (shorter ones) with the same wx settings if possible. This time, save your flight situation on approach and again on final so you can replay them without having to reconfigure the ac again. If it happens consistently then check for add-on conflicts. BTW, I am assuming that you have upgraded to SP1. I apologize if none of these suggestions are any help to you. I do hope you get it all resolved soon.
