November 21, 201114 yr Hello all,I have the boxed version of J41 and it seems that Im missing something. Selecting the airplane from the FSX menu it doesn't load the PMDG Airac database as it does with my PMDG MD-11. Second, when I load the aircraft standing on the runway of a selected airport, the cockpit is in a warning status with flashing light on the Master Caution button (well it looks like that) and full power on the engines. Obviously it feels that something is wrong without me touching anything. Third, behind the box it says that the activation is possible via the internet. I can't see any activation during installation or after installation. And last, I can't find the saved tutorial. I go on the menu Flights / Load and there is no saved tutorial.During the installaton there is no warning to tell me that somethig is wrong so what possibly is happening?Thank you in advance Panos Kotzias
November 21, 201114 yr The AIRAC database? Are you talking about the green initialization timer when you load the MD-11? The JS41 doesn't do that. With the Master Caution/Warning, just bring the power back on the engines. That happens to me and I think it's normal. Just the programming.Activation should be happen when you first load the JS41 in FSX. If it doesn't/didn't I think you should submit a ticket to PMDG Support. If the panel state isn't there, then try reinstalling the JS41. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
November 21, 201114 yr Author Hello Kenny,I know the green initialization timer im not talking about that. When you go to the FSX menu to select the MD-11, first you see a PMDG AIRAC Database bar loading and then you see the airplane. I think all PMDG airplanes, at least the late products, they all have their airac database.I reinstalled it again no activation and no panel state appeared although everything works perfectly in the cocpit Panos Kotzias
November 21, 201114 yr Commercial Member 1 - It doesn't run an AIRAC loading screen like the rest of the products. This is normal.2 - The warnings are on because you haven't properly set the aircraft up yet. The sim isn't going to load it ready to go. In the MD-11, this is possible with panel states, but the J41 is a Light product and those features are not available.3 - If you can load it in the sim, it means it is already activated. If there's an issue with that, however, you should contact the person who boxed the product.4 - If you're going to fly the tutorial, you should read the tutorial. On page 8, it very clearly states: NOTE: It is a quirk of FSX that you cannot load the tutorial directly from the Create-A-Flight menu. This is why we recommend that you run the sim, then select FLIGHT/LOAD from the FSX menu. While you're reading that, take a look at the setup notes above it (on page 8 of the tutorial), about how to properly load the sim with the J41. Kyle Rodgers
November 21, 201114 yr Hy Panos,I think you don't find the tutorial flight because it is saved on "Documents -> Flight Simulator X-Data". But when you run flight sim in the german language you probably will have to move the PMDG BAe JS4100 Tutorial 1 at KHPN; the -.FSSAVE and the -.cfg from "Documents -> Flight Simulator X-Data to Documents" -> "Flight Simulator X-Dateien"Jonathan John Rubens
