Hey HW, other then the growing pains that their site has been having recently, what version are you using? I'm still using ActiveSky v6.5 and was thinking about going the upgrade path to AE. You know, support the developer and get something that supports the FSX DVD that has been sitting on my shelf for the last four years :)Just looking for an opinion, that's all...Mark

Thanks Andy...It was last weekend (or was it the weekend before) when I was trying to setup an account and kept seeing an error message on their site. It explained that they needed some type of authenticated certificate to continue to use the BBS software. I suppose the modem bank exceeded the limit of 10 simultaneous concurrent connections? At least that's all landlines that PacBell would let us have back in the day. Sooory guys, just couldn't help myself :)Mark

'Our weather servers have recently been updated, improving network performance. 'I assume its something to do with this.Just wish I didn't have to trawl through umpteen pages to find this info tucked away on there site.Anyways A.

Using AS 65 I downloaded an archive for today (11/25) at noon local (1800Z) just fine at 20:10 local CST. No problems. Two days ago it gave me an error that was incorrect stating I did not set up a download folder (which of course is set up and in the setup options).

Down again today. It seems they are doing maintenance and it is up and down. I wonder if they are moving info among different servers. I think archives and current are on different servers as I recall. I shut off my firewall temporarily and that's not blocking anything. They had two support forums. One on AVSIM and another of their own although their site points to AVSIM.Edit: Up at 16:46 CST 11/26/11.

For ASKy 6.5 users and of course Ronsie and other posters who took the time and trouble to try and help me out.Are you sitting comfortably? Then I will begin.A tale of the missing weather archives....To any other simmers who may be experiencing these same archived weather download problems ...This is the solution...Go to HI-FI site and then to there downloads section.Download and install these. B552 Pre-requisite to SU3 Update (Must install this prior to SU3) SU3 Official Update After days of No weather archives I can now download 2011 archives again. I think I am right in saying that if you do not install these then you can only download archived weather for 2010 nothing for 2011, however the 'Current weather ' option in 6.5 continues to work as it should. I hope this lot may be of use if like myself you have been experiencing problems. cheers Andy
