Wouldn't want anyone to think, that the pull to the left or right, is an X-Plane exclusive..
Never said otherwise. But not many aircraft in FSX have it.

Here is my 'attempt' to video while holding the camera. Not the best flying but I am happy with the look overall as I know it is 'stock' If you have a look it's best to look at it at 1080 or you wont see anything.. Terrible landing but try to do everything, stick and throttle with your left hand and no trim ;)Edit: I see it embeds it in the page, def click on the youtube icon at the bottom right and load it in another page or you have no chance at full res.

Jason, you could also try to use the built-in quicktime video recorder. Look in the second tab from the left (I think) for setting it up and how to start and stop. You can even tape your "replays" so you can really concentrate on flying and change camera angles afterwards to view your landing from outside...Jan

Hi Jason,For a lovely freeware aircraft try the "Robin DR400-180 XP France". You'll find it at the .org library.Don't forget to close the overhead canopy before flight Whistle.gif .

Hello Janov, I tried but as I am running under windows I needed to install it first. I will give it a go but I wonder how that will imapct when trying to capture 5980x1080 !! Thanks Ted, I will give that a fly as well. :) When tinkering around I found I managed to get a few things for 'free'. I am running an ati 6970 and I got textures to the max and AF to 8x and AA to 16x without a drop in framerate that I noticed. It certainly cleaned up the scenes around the airport a lot. I have not had FSX on this machine yet but I will load it up to see how it performs on this as well. I am not meaning to jump in and say its that much better or less. Just to help me decide where to go from here.Thakns,Jason

Oh, and after trying some night flying you guys are right, it is very nice in xplane. The runways look good and its very neat when coming in for touchdown. The stars on the other hand seem like a disaster, you would have to be out in mag 6 skies to see that many stars, let alone anywhere with lights. They are just annoying with so much shimmering and blurring. Even in the worst skies and atmospheric conditions the stars dont behave like that. Most of all, they are distracting from everything else that looks good. I don't know what it looks like on a smaller monitor but when staring at 3 x 42" monitors they really do look that bad.
