Anyone have any idea specifically where shots 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 were taken? Working on the comparisons set, but cannot find the locations of these shots.

Hawaii?

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Screw this. I won't be posting the comparisons on Avsim, I guess. Anyway, back to searching...Hypnotized.gif

Kind of like saying your location is: "Earth...Duh!!!"

Well, I posted this assuming the people who read it had the capacity to know that I was looking for a specific location ON specific islands. I knew this would happen and almost didn't post here. And as for my "Earth...DUH!!!" thing....not really "like" saying that, as one has nothing to do with the other.

Thanks

Fire up your FSX, go to Hawaii, and then you can compare!!

Hawaii = islands as Location = Earth...Duh!!!

I would like to see the comparisons as well. :( I actually just made a slow flight across the big island, in my A2A Piper Cub, just to see if I could spot the locations. But no luck and I gave up when FSX crashed on me (my old PC does not run FSX all that well).

Sadly, I can't help you out because I'm not sure either. But please don't let some of the response's deter you from doing another set of these comparisons. I find them very interesting to look out to pick out details on what's being improved.Good luck!

Looks like everything is on Kaua'i, IMO. #9 & 10 would be looping northwest on the NW side of Kaua'i, as you drive towards Princeville. #11 can be any number of spots there on the north side of the island. #12 & 13 are in Waimea Canyon area? I'm too lazy to look the name up, but it's the area of Kaua'i that is the spot for all the rain records.If you have some mesh for the islands, ie. some 10m like is here in the library, you can turn off your autogen to get a better topographical perspective.
