December 6, 201114 yr Not that we need to see anymore of the Island, but, oh well. I guess the "Big Announcment" will take the place of pics or webisodes this month.
December 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member I'm wondering if they'll release some more media later this month. Probably not, but they might. They did say to keep checking back on the site, but that could be referring to the next month and beyond. :( Brandon Filer
December 6, 201114 yr Author that could be referring to the next month and beyond. That may not be too far out of the ballpark
December 6, 201114 yr I think all previous releases of media etc have been mid month, typically between 15th and 19th-ish. So I wouldn't have expected anything yet anyway.

December 6, 201114 yr Do they have an arctic tundra in Hawaii? "Hawaii has the two tallest mountains on earth. When measured from their base off the ocean floor, both Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa rise over 31,000 feet high. The summits have a Polar Tundra climate. Here soil is permanently frozen. It is cold up there and the area receives an average of 15 inches or less of rain annually"

December 6, 201114 yr Doesn't that put Everest about 60,000ft above the ocean floor? The text was quoted from a site, it's not my writing. But to answer your question, no, as Mt. Everest isn't formed off of the ocean's floor. Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are. The ocean's "floor" also has varying depth, so there is no set below-MSL elevation to base it off of.Many are those that criticize Microsoft for showing the Hawaiian islands, yet those that do probably don't realize the many different regions clustered in those eight primary islands. Quoting again "You have probably heard a similar oft-quoted line, "Hawaii has 11 of the world's 13 climate zones."". If you're wanting to test rain forest to desert, with mixes in between. Nice area to see how land class data fits together?A Google search of "snow in Hawaii" shows some pretty pictures and all it takes it a good vehicle to handle about a 10% slope. Uphill may be OK, but I bet going downhill could get hairy...

I live in one of those 2 out of 13 climate zones that Hawaii dosn't offer, the Mojave Desert (Las Vegas). I for one would love to see the desert of FLIGHT, not the green of Hawaii. Desert environment has been lack-luster for EVERY previous version of flight sim (both Microsoft and X-Plane, to include X-plane 10). Let's hope that Flight "measures up" .
December 6, 201114 yr I am under the impression the December will bring no more news but the already posted beta announcement.January will have 50% of having news while February will bring some beta results along some usual " Hawaii " and Maule ultra known shots.
