December 12, 201114 yr Author Thanks for all of the feedback. :)I'm going to keep eyeballing XPax for a Christmas present to myself. It sounds like a good product. I liked the passenger simulation FSpassengers had. The other parts are really great as well, but not necessary right now. I enjoy puling up to the gate to load and unload passengers. It a good feeling to move the virtual people from A to B. haha Derek RogersPC Specs: Intel i7-4790K 4.6GHz : 16GB RAM : GTX 970 4GB
March 10, 201214 yr For added fun you can use Flight Sim Voices (U.S. Crew Vol1) and edit/add different pilots & flight attendants.Happy Flying and Smooth landings! Gus
March 12, 201214 yr Hi Guys,Been a big user of HiFi's stuff currently running ASE and love it. So today I jumped into the Xpax. installed it set my options, but I don't hear anything on two test. What am I doing wrong, everything is working OK I am confused.HelpBob
March 12, 201214 yr Assuming that you have "enable audio" selected and made sure xpax is connected to FSX, sometimes Xpax doesn't connect the first time. If it's connected, have you opened your door to start the boarding process when ingame? or did you start straight from the runway? If the latter, you need to start at the gate and open the door to start the boarding process, otherwise you can skip to a different state on the xpax main menu. Those are what comes straight to my mind as troubleshooters. March 12, 201214 yr Xpack has worked flawlessly for me, I use a 3rd party program to make mutiple stop flight plans, deplane and reload at each stop, gives me a report for each leg of the flight, big thumbs up here. Did a night flight last night with the Lockheed C-40 (find night flight extremely difficult, but very fun), lost orientation, passengers screamed, recovered , landed, score of 77, lost score for banking to steeply, g forces over 3 , then another 9 point reduction for g forces, passengers health was also affected dramatically with that bumpy ride. Have hauled 2058 passengers in 115 flights with this career. With the Dehavilland DHC-6 the cabin moves as passengers load, thats real cool. Havent flown many jets so no experience with X pack and large aircraft.
March 12, 201214 yr Hey gang,So I am about the purchase this program, but had a thought I am hoping to get some clarification on.I run FSX with 2 monitors, in full screen mode. I do not want to run in windowed mode. I use my second screen to put things like my gps, radio stack, atc on.Is not running in windowed mode going to cause me a problem with this program, ie am I going to need to be able to access thsi program whilst flying? Thanks for any input,I am also interested in using 2 monitors and don't want to run FSX in windowed mode. I thought that running more than 1 monitor would result in a high FPS hit. I tried it once and experienced this and decided that this was unacceptable and went back to single monitor. My question is are you experiencing reduced performance of FSX by running 2 monitors and if not, how did you succeed with doing so?Thanks Wilbert

My question is are you experiencing reduced performance of FSX by running 2 monitors and if not, how did you succeed with doing so?ThanksHi Wilburt.I went from running two monitors previously, a 22" lcd, and a 19" lcd, to running two monitors - a 24" led backlite, and 22" lcd. Of course I run higher resolutions with these two as well. I can tell you, if I had a performance hit when I changed these two monitors setups, it was hardly noticeable. Now it has been a long time, since I went from a single monitor setup to a two monitor setup and my memory ain't as good as it used to be, but best I can recall yes it did hit me a little in performance, but very little - I remember thinking how pleased I was that it did not hit me harder in performance, going to a two monitor setup. But also understand, I do not display the 3d graphics across both monitors, I use my secondary monitor to display the 2d panels, like the GPS, radio stack, atc window, kneeboard... I have two monitors (my 30" and 22" monitors) connected to my one GTX580 video card and it works well but I can only use it in windowed mode and that's not what you want. In full screen mode, the smaller monitor goes dark. But it's nice to have for setting up FSX, then going to full screen. You're best buy is going to a 30" monitor or, like some here at AVSIM have done, connect to a 40 inch plus HDTV. Best regards,Jim

I have tried once to use both on the same EVGA GTX580 card and experienced a significant frame reduction and decided that this would not work. Perhaps I did not investigate or correctly set it up. I think I will spend some more time experimenting.Yhanks Wilbert
