  1. Wow, now theres a dedicated flight simmer, hats off. Cant say my record is that extensive.
  2. Congratulations, How many flight hours over that duration of time, if its possible to estimate?
  3. One of Hifi's older products, X Garphics, will also work as the texture pack. Their reply to my query was, "Absolutely it will work fine"
  4. With Gensis mesh, Scenery Tech, UTX, GEX, I get great scenery and good performance with this older machine.

I use it for better lighting on older aircraft, I fly in VC also and thats why I bought it, dim lights on non lit runways wasnt my cup of tea. Learning the editing was not to hard, well documented in the manual. Haven't regretted that purchase, still use it today.
  6. Looks like this when all areas are purchased

I use that product and havent noticed a fps issue.
  8. I found that with using Scenery Tech Landclass with UTX makes my home area more accuate . I had purchased Scenery Tech prior to UTX so being able to use both makes my day.
  9. The new update is very good. I have all regions in GEX and UTX and Scenery Tech Landclass, I have now started mesh layer with FSGenisis, I originally figured there was going to be little or no difference, I was very wrong. This better mesh layer is really topping up my FSX world. (and all these products works well together on this older machine).
  10. Holy crappers some of you folks do long flights, gees. I make my flight plans for 20 to 40 minutes between landings, thats long enough for this chair flyer.
  11. Tried the Orbx Tasmania freebee, thought it looked alright, didnt find it that exceptional to throw out the upgrades that I had started with. I use this combination of these products to make my FSX smile everywhere I fly, and I fly everywhere. FS GENISIS Scenery Tech Landclass UTX GEX I also use other addons like- Natural World Mikes - Hi Definition Moon AS 2012
  12. I am not a seller or reseller, just wasnt sure where to post this. I tried a product called DFX audio enhancement, the improvement it made to sounds and music over my speakers was wonderful, fuller, richer, deeper, cleaner, and to my delightful surprise I have found the improvement also works for the PC games I have installed on this system. Dirt 2 and 3 always sounded good but now its amazing , also Flight Sim X with all those wonderful aircraft , now the squeaks and rattles and other enjoyable sounds are so clear. I also use the Steel Series 5H usb headset and when using my headphones and DFX the different sounds I am able to produce are astonishing. http://www.fxsound.com/dfx/index.php
  13. FScene - but I got it on sale so it didn't cost much. Abacus Aircraft - again doesn't cost much, tried a few Probably my biggest regret would be the order in which I upgraded FSX with add ons, learning by trying and buying was sometimes painful. Would have been very helpful to have known of a community forum such as Avisim when I began purchasing. What I have today is a awesome working Flight Simulator X with enhancements throughout the world, from airports to grass, sounds, airplanes, weather, moon, make and place scenery, missions, shaking and vibrating cockpits, scores for flight performance all thanks to 3rd party developers, guess you could say I'm kinda proud of how things have turned out for a non compy savy individual, and Im still running a windows xp 32 bit sytsem.
  14. I have used HDX for over a year, its a great add on to FSX, and like another poster said, no performance impact whatsoever, and Im still using old hardware.
  15. Thank you gentlemen, when I upgraded this system all the parts were cutting edge and cost a fortune, seems like such a shame to have to do that all over again. Pre built unit from Jetline would be 2000, probably a self built willl be very similiar, but it does seem like the parts that are being sold today have way better performance for less cost then the parts did for this vintage of machine.
  16. Thank you for taking the time to reply, appreiciate it. Kinda looks like I have to upgrade the whole rig and os, sucks. I have only owned 2 OS, windows 3.1 and xp, The constant changing of OS systems seems like a big money grab,
  17. Hi: I am looking to just upgrade the cpu on this xp machine, not ready to do a complete change. Heres what I have found and was wondering which would make fsx happier? Any suggestions of another type, please inform. https://www.superbiiz.com/desc.php?name=E8600 https://www.superbiiz.com/desc.php?name=Q-9550 Thanks
  18. I have supported each version of hifi's product and have found each version improvemed over the previous. Active Sky 2012 works real well, highly customizable for what my pc can do, the snowy runways textures in winter are excellent.

I bought My Traffic 2013 a few days ago, thanks for the upgrade price aerosoft, it works as flawlessly as 2010 did. On my older pc it works like a charm, I set my in game sliders to 65% GA, and 50% airliner and get the results I like with good performance.
  20. http://www.aero-files.com/category.php?id_category=27 that one works
  21. Was just sharing a find. Heres a couple liveries of the airplanes. Pretty sure I got that Add-on before Acceleration was released thats why I was surprised that it worked.
  22. Digging through my stack of games I have collected since 2001, I ran across this, it actually installed and worked was surprised, figured it was going to crash my fsx installation. Developers have come a long way since this was on the retail shelf.
  23. I purchased the Just Flight DC-3 and expansion and am very pleased with my purchses. Perhaps I dont expect quite as much from deveoplers as some folks do, but I like to fly those birds, and all those liveries are great.
  24. Sonic solutions soundset for the Dehavilland DHC-6, and the Beech 58 are done very well, makes those aircraft sound wonderful. As far as the Jet sound packs, have no experience with them, I dont particularly like flying the big jets. Mr. Cap's endorsement of a head shake I disagree with, Sonics products are working well, for the type of flying I enjoy.
  25. I use Sonic Sound Solutions, have good success with their products
