Sound Problem

Featured Replies

All sounds in FSX have reduced in volume by about 80%. I don't know why for sure but it may be some free ware aircraft I added as it happened just after. I've looked in the main sound folder in FSX and I assumed I would find a "sound dll" in with all the wav files but no "sound dll" in there. Any advice will be appreciated.

Go into "Control Panel",click on "Hardware and Sound",and then click on "Adjust system sound"...With FSX running, there will be a window showing the volume "slider" that you can adjust....Hope this helps,as it has happened to me also...Lou

Thanks Lou, yes that's the first thing I checked when it happened, also the volume sliders in FSX. So far I've not resolved the problem, un-installed what I thought was the offending aircraft with its sound files did nothing. All other sound volumes are fine on my system. I cant just increase the overall volume as at high levels the hard drive etc can be heard through the speakers. I will really appreciate some help with this problem.
