December 11, 201114 yr Hi guys, I'm writing this off my iPhone and came across the IP Board app as its written at the bottom of the mobile forum (which is far the best for mobile). I wonder whether someone is using this and whether it makes sense to get it. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
December 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member I use a BlackBerry, but I suppose it's up to you. It would depend on what you spend your time doing, and how many features the app would make easier for you. Collin Biedenkapp Chief Executive Officer TFDi Design (Invernyx) | Website

I wonder whether someone is using this and whether it makes sense to get it.It's not worth any money, but it is neat. I couldn't get used to the layout, and IP Board Forums won't connect/let you login if they're not up to date (often Avsim is a version or so behind). ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
December 26, 201114 yr There is also Tapatalk (or whatever it's called) but I prefer to just use the mobile version of the site. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member Yeah I too prefer the mobile version over the app, it seems more intuitive. Owner, Fulcrum Simulator Controls. fulcrumsim.com facebook.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols instagram.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols twitter.com/Fulcrum_SC

And it has the ability to check you topics for new posts. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

December 27, 201114 yr I'd like to respond to the "AVSIM is usually a version or two behind." There is a reason for that. Every time a new version of IPB is released, we need to check against ALL the 3rd party apps we have installed, hooks, modules, etc and make sure they are all up to date and have revisions. No to mention all the custom tweaks we applied. This can take time.Tapatalk will always work, as that is upgraded more frequently. If you need a mobile app, I'd suggest that one. If you need a mobile app, I'd suggest that one.John, those of us who are tech-savvy appreciate the fact that you do just that. I've been a member of forums where people just blindly update because they can, with disastrous consequences for that forum. Keeping my account information safe by ensuring 3rd party apps are secure is also paramount and waiting awhile is always good practice to let any security issues come to light in the IPB community. Again, thank you sir. Owner, Fulcrum Simulator Controls. fulcrumsim.com facebook.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols instagram.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols twitter.com/Fulcrum_SC
December 28, 201114 yr Commercial Member I agree completely. I follow the same practice with web hosting. I update servers in the middle of the night when I have plenty of time to recover if something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry, and being careful always pays off.
