December 15, 201114 yr Make sure you are in APP mode after localizer capture !!Jason.That's a technique, but it's not required. The APP mode will join the LOC and then the G/S unless the aircraft has been configured for the join G/S first option. I'm not sure, but I'd guess that's a rare option. Matt Cee

I'm not sure, but I'd guess that's a rare option.I hear you Matt !What I meant to say in that post was to make sure he had captured the localizer with VOR/LOC or APPso that he could then engage the 2 autopilots.
