December 15, 201114 yr Happy to hear those news: "Won't be easy, but we will do it".http://www.x-plane.com/blog/2011/12/bad-alex-bad-the-road-map-for-memory/bye bye "Xmapped out of memory" and "bad alloc" ! :) * 2010 MacPro, 27' display * Snow Leopard * XP10 *
December 15, 201114 yr 64-bit X-Plane sounds great, but this catch doesn't:"32-bit plugins won’t run in a 64-bit app. As far as I know none of the three operating systems provides a way to bridge DLLs like this, so plugin authors will need to create 64-bit compiled versions of their plugins."
December 15, 201114 yr Author does not worry me much. they will port their plugins for sure. last but not least they'll benefit from from a 54-bit XP themselves. * 2010 MacPro, 27' display * Snow Leopard * XP10 *
December 15, 201114 yr I only run one other flight sim that moved to 64 bit bit but the difference was noticeable. It's a good thing.
