PMDG - Need assistance with ordering 737 NGX

Featured Replies

I'd like to order PMDG 737 NGX 800/900 and 600/700 for my husband for Christmas. If I wait until Christmas day and he knows before I order it, he'll tell me not to spend my money on it. So I'd like to order it now and let him download it on Christmas. Since my IP address is captured when I look at placing an order, I don't know if my laptop would be the system that would have to download the software. As you can probably tell, I'm not very system savy, like my husband is. If I download the software, can it go on a memory stick that I can give to him? Or does it need to be downloaded on the system that will be using it (I didn't know if it spreads tentacles into various files, etc.)?I just need some help with ordering this before Christmas and somehow allowing his machine to download it on Christmas or allow me to download the software and give it to him to install on his computer on Christmas. Maybe there are cds with this software available (I'd be willing to pay extra for that).PMDG doesn't give an email address or phone contact where I can ask these questions...Thanks,Belinda Winters

Belinda I guess what you says, dosen´t work. It has to be his email and his user account and password. If you use that, it would work, I guess. The probs is that he gets the order confirmation with the d/l link in his email and then he sees it before Xmas....../ LeffeEDIT: But if you think he can live with, that he has to remember your email, (still his user and pw though)then it would work. Then it´s you who gets the Order Confirmation and d/l link in your email. (transfer the email to him only)It is also possible for him to change email address later on by contacting PMDG I guess.

Hi Belinda. If you go to the Aerosoft.com website, you will see that they are issueing the Boxed version of the 737ngx on Monday 19.12.11. This would be more convenient to you instead of downloading. hope this helps. richard welsh.

Hello Belinda,What you could do is the following (apart from the "boxed" suggestions above):Create an account at the PMDG online shop, and set the login and password (and later on the serial) in a "Notepad" file on a USB stick. You can then purchase the NGX (8/9 and 6/7 if you want) and save it to the same USB stick. So the following would end up on the USB stick:A Notepad ".txt" file containing the following:Username;Password;Serial(s);NGX8/9 installation file(s);NGX6/7 installation file(s).I hope this helps,

Belinda-If you wish to make the purchase for your husband, you can do so very easily. Simply make the purchase on our website using your own email address. Then, when you have given him the gift, you can change the email address on the account to his email address, OR if he already has an account with us we can consolidate your purchase into his account. If you need direct help, just reach out to us at http://support.precisionmanuals.com and one of us will be happy to help!(Don't worry about the IP address... that is used for investigation/prevention of credit card fraud...)

Great job, Belinda - I wish my wife would consider some flightsim goodies for me every once in a while! Your husband is getting one of the best flightsim addons of 2011, period! Nice choice.I hope your husband doesn't frequent these PMDG forums and come across this thread - it would be a shame to ruin such a thoughtful gift. Please come back on Christmas and let us know how everything turned out.
