December 19, 201114 yr Hello,First of all, I like to say I am thoroughly impressed with this product! Excellent work! It was well worth the money.Everything was working flawlessly until I was over the Gulf of Mexico, just south of Louisiana in the PMDG 737 NGX. The aircraft went into a 90 degree bank right and nose dive. after resetting the autopilot, LNAV, and waypoints a few times, my only theory was that is was caused by AS2012, as weather engines can be buggy and the NGX had never behaved like this before. I closed AS2012, reset the weather in FSX, and the problem was gone. The win with AS2012 was reading out the same as what FSX reset it to, but the weird behavior was gone. I am not sure if this was a bug, or just a glitch in weather data, but it was definitely an issue. Can anybody else confirm anything like this with AS2012?Thank you for the help, and I really do love this product!EDIT: I just noticed the FSUIPC update available..I will download that and see if that is my issue and report back! December 19, 201114 yr Author Okay, I updated FSUIPC and can confirm I got the exact same problem just south of Las Vegas. Cory Baxes
December 19, 201114 yr I had very similar problem during my approach to Washington-National into RW1. Just before base leg, the jet banked to the left, and my speed increased rapidly (with engines idle) to 280 IAS. Strangely enough even on final, I felt like I had tail winds of about 40kts, which made my landing quite challenging. It should be noted that RW1 was, in fact, the active runway which makes this whole thing a bit confusing. Before installing AS2012 I had some issues with extremely rough headwinds on approach that almost looked like the exact opposite of what I observed here. I've never had a this exact "tailwind" behavior before I installed AS2012. I did, however, also install the new FSUIPC version (in an attempt to fix the crazy headwinds) so I can't be positive that it's actually AS2012's problem yet. Randall Huck
December 20, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hello,We have had some isolated reports of Wake Turbulence simulation activating improperly in some cases. The effect you describe sounds like a wake event. We are investigating this fully and hope to have a definitive resolution soon, but for now you may wish to disable wake turbulence effects (set wake intensity slider to zero). I look forward to the solution! :( Cory Baxes
December 20, 201114 yr I was also having this issue with ASE, very rarely but mostly on approach. It doesn't help that in DWC you have aircraft taking off and landing all over the place at busy airports. Turning down wake slider fixed it.EW
December 20, 201114 yr I had the same problem. All my controls are normally via FSUIPC. In FSX I have unchecked the "controls enabled". After installation of AS2012 this "not enabled" was changed, at some point in time, into "enabled". As a result the axis assignment was totally screwed up, with two different assingments competing with each other. Flying on AP was OK, but at some point I manually moved the throttle and this was causing the ailerons to move at the same time, resulting in uncontrolable bank angle. After this happend three times I checked the axis assigment on a different plane (default Cessna) and then I discoverd that the FSX setting had changed. It seems that AS2012 modifies fsx.cfg.I suggest you check the FSX settings through the meneus and or fsx.cfg.By the way: AS2012 is simply briljant. December 21, 201114 yr I had a similar issue and when I looked at the status screen on AS2012 there was a couple lines about a cloud layer altitude error at a certain station point. I don't know if there is a log I can find to pull that error up it may give you some info on what might be happening. My speed dropped 40 kts and then increased 10 kts then resumed normal as quick as it came. Sean Green
