Black Box Simulations'first product: 737 Professional

Featured Replies

Ever been in a 737-200? Ever been in a 737NGX?Both are totally different aeroplanes to look at and fly. They share nothing in common apart from they were both built by Boeing.737-200 is a proper pilot's aircraft ie one you have to fly using your brain and body.737 NGX is one flown by computer. You are just there for the ride.As a Pilot I know which one I'd rather be in.
I know the difference between the NGX and the 727-200. I was refering to the fact that Captain Sim is also making one. I starts to be the same with the 737 family like with the 757/767. There are also several verdors who made one. They should better do something nobody had done before commercially, for exaple the Bombardier C-Series or something else. But well, that´s just my oppoinition on that.

Best regards, Steffen

Well hopefully if that Black Box VC is "work in process" and not a finished product there is only one serious contender.I agree it is frustrating that so many software companies think it's cool to compete with each other over the same aircraft. Please developers do something new and exciting! Just look at the RealAir Duke for inspiration. Or anything built by David Maltby or Rick Piper.

Part of the problem here is that such projects are started at a time that such a plane hasn't been done proparly yet. They only get announced at a relatively late stage. So ultimately, multiple planes of the same type get announced. To us it then seems as if everybody is doing the same plane despite knowing there is stiff competition, but this is not the case. They get made precisely because developers believe there is no competition.

Tell it to any 737NG pilot. As for the PSS2's aircraft choice I am disappointed. But this is only my personal opinion and it is not more valid than any other.
