January 1, 201214 yr yesterday I had a glass or two of champagne to celebrate the new year when all of a sudden weird pictures showed up on my monitor where I normally run XPX.must have been the champagne I guess. Edited January 1, 201214 yr by fly_like_an_eagle
January 1, 201214 yr Thats why I have zero AI turned on, it's too frustrating dropping in at a new airport to see a jumbo in the middle of the runway at 90 degrees doing nothing.
January 1, 201214 yr Yesterday I saw the NASA plane do a complete cartwheel. He went straight in the air like a helicopter then spun around about 50 feet above the ground did a cartwheel and bounced hard after landing. At least it was on a taxiway Donald E. Donovan Flying is the 2nd greatest thrill known to man The 1st is landing.
January 1, 201214 yr Author thats why I shall never drink and fly again.as a politically correct XPXer I won't mention that this never happens in FSXand thats why Laminator the Great needs to stop playing with his iPad version but come on over and fix this.in an increasingly plausible world we need plausible AI.
January 1, 201214 yr A little entertainment while your getting ready to take-off keeps you from getting bored on those long taxi's!Hopefully by 10.5 things will get worked out or I'll have to buy a larger plane! Thanks for sharing. January 2, 201214 yr This will all be worked out, I'm sure, but how fast and when is always up to the divines at LR. The thing of it is there is SO much that needs addressing for each of us and each of us have our own idea as to what is more important, LR needs to address things according to their view of what will achieve their objectives quickly. If they plan on adding a feature that relies on proper ATC, they may fix the ATC before they fix the cities. They also need to address issues such as the clouds being so overly taxing to enhance performance and other performance issues. Due to staff size, they can only focus on a few at a time, so time is what it will take to fix.We will all have to be patient. Meanwhile, funding will probably be stunted until these issues are fixed as a fair few people will be put off by these issues so much that they won't buy the software until they are addressed. After all, there are no guarantees these will all be fixed, but a good amount during the XP10 version run. Aaron
January 2, 201214 yr *tongue in cheek* Whats wrong with ATC? On the new front page of xplanes site is this quote ;) Love XP10! Keep up the great work. I especially love the new ATC. Keep up the great work! – Gerrad, from Georgia
January 2, 201214 yr This will get sorted (I hear) when the new scenery tools arrive. You'll be able to make taxi routes onyour local airports. Using "normal" aircraft as AI can also cause disasters if the designerdid a sloppy job in PlaneMaker.M Morten Melhuus
