January 3, 201214 yr Good evening everyone. I'd like to thank Robert and team for the bird first. I know I am late to the party, but with moving for my job I bought the plane months ago. However I have only managed one flight till tonight. Today I got the 600/700 addon, and downloaded some BBJ repaints for my flight. Thanks to the people that did those as well. The black and silver bird looks outstanding.. On to my moment though. Everything was great, and I was coming in for approach to KPHF admiring the HUGS, and just checking out my new area. So I touch down, spoilers deploy, auto brakes function, I bring the throttle back to idle and hit F2.... Nothing happens. Now in my mind I think I have had a dual thrust reverser failure. Immediately though I take over for the auto brake, and bring the aircraft to a stop well within safe distance. I get on to the taxiway and immediately I start trying to assess my situation. I start checking everything in the pit, try dragging the reversers with my mouse cursor. Nada. By now I am really perplexed as surely the did not model mechanical malfunctions for the thrust reversers.. I wound up in the end finding out that I had at some point when messing around with the FMC clicking in the typing area, and I had the green box (which was blocked out of my view by the yoke, and the LAST thing I would have ever thought to check). Needless to say after that the thrust reversers worked flawlessly, and I taxied on to my parking space. So if you guys are having problems getting key commands to respond check the the FMC for the green box as it disables all key commands! A case of Read The Manual on my part, but my excitement to fly got the best of me. Look forward to the real BBJ release whenever that winds up coming, and also Ryan you need to go on ahead and come off the secret project.. Inquiring minds want to know! January 3, 201214 yr The green box on the scratchpad of the CDU disables all key commands, so you can manually type in waypoints from the keyboard into the CDU. Quite a useful function, especially with a long flight plan.
January 3, 201214 yr Haha, happened to me once! i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
January 3, 201214 yr it doesn't disable 'A' or 'S' especially if you have EZdok. Whenever you type them, your view gets changed. That's very frustrating, so I don't use it. Edited January 3, 201214 yr by Smasher77th Chidiebere Anyahara
January 3, 201214 yr I disables ALL fsx commands, also "s" and "a"... ...But it does not disable EZdock commands, no matter if you are using "s" og "w" or any other key to change your view. :) Anders Weber ATPL(A) Student EKBI - Billund, Denmark
