January 8, 201214 yr I have to say that since the news of MS Flight was announced, I spend more time on Avsim (and some other forums) then in FSX... This afternoon I finally started a flight with the PMDG 737NGX but I stopped when I was at cruise altitude because I was curious what had been posted on Avsim in the meantime. It's great reading about FSX, MS Flight, P3D, Aerofly FS... These are great times for flightsimming... but the simming itself seems to have become less important. Everytime I start up my PC to do a flight with the RV-7a above PNW I first have a look at this forum... and before I know it my time is up and I haven't done any flying at all... :wink:So I wondered: are there any more people who spend more time online, reading about the future of our hobby, watching movies of MS Flight or Aerofly FS, posting our personal rants over and over again in various topics...? Is everyone just as excited as I am...? Just curious. :( Edited January 8, 201214 yr by Guest
January 8, 201214 yr I'm just waiting for my copy of X-Plane 10 to arrive, been playing the life out of the demo in the mean time. Not loosing much sleep over what's happening with FLIGHT since MSFS already died once after Microsoft disbanded ACES and yet the cottage industry of freeware/payware addons managed to survive. Eventually another sim will fill the void.
January 8, 201214 yr Who says the two are mutually exclusive ? I have two screens, so cruising at FL340 above the cold waters of Alaska as we speak. John-Alan Pascoe
January 8, 201214 yr Now, let's see... How do I answer that question...Ah! Don't answer it at all! :(
January 8, 201214 yr Been sick for a while, flu and bronchitis thus sometimes, just too dog gone worn out and tired to fly. After a work week, really spent thus use my lap top in bed to get caught up with the news, buy stuff related to flying, and post. I find this forum very exciting for news and what is what. The guy above, my pal Stephen, is my favorite poster, plus teaches me a lot about FSX, especially computers. A great bunch of guys here. You guys are fantastic! January 9, 201214 yr Lolthose guys used the 'rostering system check' excuse - but we know the real reason was 'We were reading the latest Microsoft Flight Hawaii Only thread on Avsim'. :) Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit.
