Do you understand what a DLC is?
You don't get it. No matter how much downloadable content you add to Flight, it still comes out looking and performeing essentially as FSX. There have been no huge next generational code advancements - no leaps of programming technology - to Flight which will allow DLC to look and perform substantially better than what we have now in FSX.Only MS will have made fresh money off you by getting you to buy it all over agian, piece by piece. What is the old saying? No matter how much lipstick you put on a pig . . . .

No, it won't. It performs better and has autogen as far as you can see. Two nice improvements already over FSX, which will have popup autogen forever.

And anyone there, do not think that I take this too seriously. I just find telling the truth and seeing when all optimism regarding M$ proves to be false quite entertaining to do.
I'm still wiping egg off my face...You should keep in mind though that it is entirely possible that your pontificating and strident posturing about the "truth" could very well end up bitting you in the butt too.I'm leery now of taking any extreme positions one way or another...

WOW! Just what I've been waiting for to make my flight simming experience more true to real life! Five years since the release of FSX and MS has finally done it! Fantasy houses as far as the eye can see. Not just for 20 miles out, but all the way to forever! Oh, the goosebumps. How about improving your product (after 5 years of work) with something really substantial? Like a true to life ATC ? Or an aircraft that even PMDG would be proud of?But I complain too much! Hey, in addition to Endless Autogen, I've also now have golden aerocaches (whatever those are) to collect, and MS has gotten the reflective shine on those puppies down really really nice.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Er... you said "it still comes out looking and performeing essentially as FSX." You didn't talk about flying or ATC but about how it looks and performs. So I post that you are wrong because it DOES look better and performance IS better, and then you post this...? What you say now has nothing to do with what I posted. :(

So you are telling us that you would be perfectly happy to purchase FSX all over again (under its new name of 'Flight'), and to spend money doing it piece-by-piece. And then when you finally have it all together, you would use it and convince yourself that it seems to run slightly better then FSX?
MS states in their FAQ that they intend to appeal to the 'experienced simmer'
I suspect that this may have been their intention at the start of the MS Flight project, but after reading a handful of "developer blogs", I am not convinced that it applies anymore.
