January 10, 201214 yr Hi captains,I've noticed how in my last 3 or 4 flights, I see very high temp values. e.g: +54 or +47 at FL290 or FL320 or like in the example attached, +52 at FL270. I drop a pic of that. Is that correct? This make I have problems to reach the CRZ speed and FMC always give me the message "UNABLE TO CRZ ALTITUDE". I doing something wrong? Thanks. January 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member If you're using FSINN weather, turn it off. I think VATSIM weather has a similar bug but not as severe (I could be wrong).Default FS, ActiveSky and REX are okay on this front. Kyle Rodgers
January 10, 201214 yr FWIW: I actually had an occurance of that problem a couple days ago while using ActiveSky 2012. I was on VATSIM using FSINN as well, and I'm not sure if the known problem with FSINN overrode ASE2012 or not. I ultimately had to reboot ASE2012 in order to get normal temps back. January 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member I think FSINN will conflict with whatever weather you're running unless you specifically turn its weather off. FWIW, I run ASE and specifically disabled SB4's weather to be extra sure. Kyle Rodgers

FWIW, I run ASE and specifically disabled SB4's weather to be extra sure.I had been running ASE for as long as it's been out along side FSINN. I keep it set like you said: specifically disable FSINN weather. There's not really a way to know, but I was thinking there may have been some glitches with winds aloft data that ActiveSky has been using. Maybe AS was messing up a little. Not really sure though. It had never happened before (except for right after I started using FSINN and hadn't set it correctly), and it doesn't seem to be happening anymore.Woc are you still having problems with it? January 10, 201214 yr Author Woc are you still having problems with it?Hi Charles, hi guys. I use FEX (Flight Environment X) and reading your comments, I realize perhaps some conflict between FEX and FSINN weather engine may be happening. Now, while I'm writing this I'm realizing that this issue, only occurs when I fly on VATSIM (thru FSINN). No problem with IVAO (thru IvAp). Anyway for extra sure, I'm preparing my next flight, which will be a long-haul one. I'll do it with LevelD 767 on IVAO using FEX as well. Tomorrow let you know the debriefing. Charles, I've read that you disable FSINN weather and only use ASE. How I can do that in order to use only FEX weather in my case? Thanks a lot, captains! Go to the Options subcategory and check the box next to Disable Weather by Default (it's the 4th one down on the left column).Enjoy your flight! Explained like that is impossible get lost :( In other hand, while I'm droping this post, I'm on CRZ altitude of FL330 from Miami to Madrid. Almost 200nm flown. I've disable FEX (now I see the difference and why serious simmers need to have a payware weather software) and the flight is under IVAO. See the pic. While TAT is -20, in FMC the SAT shows -48. January 11, 201214 yr Author Hmmm...I'm still trying different options. I'm almost sure that is a FSINN issue. I've disable the wx in FSINN and restart FSX, using FEX as well and got the same result: +29 at FL200 and rising up. I did the same test under IVAO (FEX + IVAO) and everything went OK (see pics). So, I know FEX don't handle weather within FSX but, would FEX be doing something weird? Just one more test to confirm that FSINN is the problem: fly under FSINN with FSX without FEX. Start to get angry with this. Ivan Lewis PMDG B737NGX, B777 and B747v3 QOTS II
January 11, 201214 yr make sure the weather symbol is not filled in on FSINN next to Vatsim. If it is then try selecting CAVOKWith FSINN once you get above a certain altitude (i belive it was 10k) it is reccomended to go CAVOK and then switch to using the FSX real world weather or a 3rd party weather addon because FSINN enters the temperature using the wrong temperature offset Edited January 11, 201214 yr by gmt2001 Gary Tekulsky

Finally I've purchased ASE and testing it last night, seems like the issue is solved using this weather, instead FSINN one and now while I'm climbing the TAT is decreasing til about -24 @ FL310. My flight test with FSX without FEX + FSINN failed. TAT temp increase as I climb. Edited January 12, 201214 yr by Woc Ivan Lewis PMDG B737NGX, B777 and B747v3 QOTS II
January 12, 201214 yr I had that problem a few weeks ago, simple fix turn off wx by default in FSInn control panel. as I and many others experience, you may get dramatically changing wind directions during the climb. See below. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/358292-cant-make-crz-level/page__fromsearch__1 Edited January 12, 201214 yr by NXGFlyer87 Craig Little dual core system not worth mentioning!

My flight test with FSX without FEX + FSINN failed. TAT temp increase as I climb.i found the post on vatsim forumsIt's a known issue. Above FL245 (or whatever, I thought it was FL210, but it doesn't really matter) FSInn inverts the temperature value. So instead of -55°C it gives +55°C. Causing the IAS needed to produce a given mach number much higher. i.e. you stall at higher speeds than expected. So the fix is to turn off FSInn weather above that FL, and use MSFS real-word weather. Now, you already know that part. My tip (what I do, personally), is to switch from FSInn to MSFS weather when crossing the transition-level. Then change it back to FSInn weather when crossing the transition-altitude. This has two up-sides to it: 1) You are changing the weather source long before you get to the problem altitude/FL, 2) you change the weather when you change your altimeter, so it's easy to remember when to do it, and/or you are less likely to forget about it. I have even hand written in my checklist, where it says, "set altimeter," the line, "check FSInn weather," so I don't forget. Yes, I use printed paper checklists. :oops:According to the post below the quoted one its a bug related to FSX's SimConnect SDKThe solution is to either use 3rd party weather, in which case FSINN weather should always be on CAVOK or disabled through the menu. Or to go CAVOK and activate FSX real world weather from the menu when you get near the problem altitude (or transition alt as this guy suggests) Edited January 12, 201214 yr by gmt2001 Gary Tekulsky
