January 12, 201214 yr Author Just disable the weather in FSInn and let AS download Vatsim weather. No need to dance around with disabling at transition altitude and similar crazy stuff.Although seems that there are several options to solve the FSInn issue, I'm agree with Peter. I full disabled FSInn weather and let ASE do what he do better: manage the weather. After various test flights, I'm sure that this is "The Fix" for this issue. Anyway THANKS A LOT for all answers, advices and the time spent, captains. Cya all up there. Cheers, Ivan Lewis PMDG B737NGX, B777 and B747v3 QOTS II
January 12, 201214 yr Hmmm...I'm still trying different options. I'm almost sure that is a FSINN issue. I've disable the wx in FSINN and restart FSX, using FEX as well and got the same result: +29 at FL200 and rising up. I did the same test under IVAO (FEX + IVAO) and everything went OK (see pics). So, I know FEX don't handle weather within FSX but, would FEX be doing something weird? Just one more test to confirm that FSINN is the problem: fly under FSINN with FSX without FEX. Start to get angry with this. I dont see anything weird there at all. The TAT will increase as your true airspeed increases. This is mostly because of the friction on the air molecules hitting the skin of your airplane. Also the SAT doesnt get colder and colder the higher you go. There are various layers of air and often there's a layer that is really cold, then it becomes slightly warmer againEDIT: Is that +29? I thought it said -29. Its hard to tell from the small screenshot at a weird angle. If its +29 then its obviously not normal. Edited January 12, 201214 yr by Sekstifire Johan Pettersen
January 12, 201214 yr Commercial Member As you're flying around, you'll always see a TAT higher than that of the SAT:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_air_temperaturehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Static_Air_Temperature Kyle Rodgers
