Featured Replies

I am looking for FPS data.Is there any some data sheets? about FPS improvement, under same airport, airplane, weather. And does prepar3d use multiple core? And How about graphic card? Does prepar3d use some advanced technologies of VGA? kind of shader 3.0 and directx11...(Sorry my English)

At this point, dont expect a major increase in FPS. The most I get is an increase of 2-3 fps over FSX in most senerios. However, it does feel a lot smoother to me and that is always welcome! :( The biggest gain for me, is the lack of blurries with P3D. Not everyone gets the same results. Some have reported they stll get the blurries with P3d, So maybe it depends on hardware. Im not sure.P3d uses enhanced texture resolution settings and new shader model 3.0, but it still does not use the video card to full potential. That will most likley change as prepar3d develops down the line. I belive they are shooting for DX11 support in version 2.0, but thats still some time away.Rob

Hi So far I couldn't really say if I have seen an increase, what I do believe I am seeing is more smoothness and when I am flying vfr using Horizon uk scenery of England and Wales I definitely see far clearer graphics, far less blurries. I am in the middle of a long flight at the moment and all looks good but this is a second attempt at this flight as I had a CDT last night. I personally signed up for P3D because I believe it is the future of flight sim, I could be wrong, it is only my thoughts, time will tell. Cheers Shaun.

As Rob has pointed out, the very fact that there is a lack of blurries and P3D is smoother, enables sliders to be set higher or to run at higher framerates!

This is what keeps my hope for P3D alive. They seem to be intenionally indirectly reeling in our community.P3D with DX11 would be fantastic.
