Cosford 2015
Hi All Yeah what a great day. My only regret that i didnt communicate enough with other people and listen to their expierences with problems that they may have ecountred along the way with regards to the sim. I love my flight sim, recently downloaded P3D V3 which im still trying out, currently using FSX gold edition. I do a lot of travelling with my job so decided to buy a good lap top so i can spend my evenings exploring our virtual world, so when i heard i was close to Cosford last Saturday jumped at the chance to be there and was amazed at the amount of people who have the same interest as my self. My home adress is in Cardiff and would love to know if there are any groups close to home where i could get together and share our interest. Thanks Shaun

lest we forget
Hello Bob Just gone 6 am here in the uk. With my wife just gone to work already my pc is alive with the sound of jets warming up, tow trucks pushing back and down stairs is the list of jobs she needs done for the family coming down for Christmas, doesnt she understand I got to get people home for Christmas. Hehe. Personely I blame all the developers, like PMDG, Orbx, Real environment etc, haven't they got nothing better to do, bring it on. Have a very happy flying Christmas. Shaun

Default 737 800
Hi Thanks very much for all the valuable input which I found interesting. The PMDG is by no doubt a lot closer to reality than the default 737 will ever be and a lot more fun learning to fly, I'm sure when I find the cash I will buy the PMDG version, until then I will have to make do with all the fabulous free 737's which I'm sure, not being a pilot must represent some form of reality. Thanks Shaun

Default 737 800
The PMDG is by far the best 737 package on the market but just like others my time is short at nights and I just like the simplicity of the default to get me up on a short flight. Thanks for all your input. Shaun

Which upcoming add-on(s) do you want most?
Quality wings 787. That's about it.

Default 737 800
Hi I'm really enjoying flying the default 737 at the moment but I was wondering how close it flies compared to PMDG. I am well aware of the quality of the PMDG model but was just curiuos as how well the default 737 flies in regards to take off power, climb and cruise etc, are there any tweaks out there that can be done to make it better. Thanks Shaun

Screen tearing with two monitors
Hi I purchased myself a second screen this week so I could have a set up where I could run Prepar3D on my main screen and have Plan G or FSC on the second screen for navigation. What I have noticed is that while running the two monitors I get a slight tearing on the main screen while panning around, inside or out but this does not happen if I only use the main monitor (second one switched off ). My first screen is a Dell E248FWP set at a resolution of 1920x1200 and my second screen is HKC with a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. Is the difference in the resolutions the problem, I can set my Dell to 1920x1080 but it narrows the screen a bit which I don't like. I have tried different settings using Nvidia inspector but to no avail. Is this a problem I can cure. Thanks for reading. Cheers Shaun

Hi Where did you purchase it from. Have a look at the e mail you would have received when you bought it, that should give you details. Shaun

CH yoke set up for reverse thrust
Hi I am trying to set up my CH yoke, in particular trying to see if i can configure it so one of the levers could be used to activate reverse thrust rather than F2. I have got a registered version if FSUIPC. Searched a number of sites looking for answers but no luck. Thanks for reading. Cheers Shaun

Defraging Your Hard Drive FSX
Hi My self I am using smart defragmenter 2 by iobit which is free and find it great but lately I have been really worried about my HD which is a WD raptor, no matter if I defrag it or not when I switch on my pc the noise it makes is incredible, it sounds as if it is really working hard trying to organise its self then after about 2 mins it quitens down. Is this ok or should I be worried that it could need replacing. Cheers Shaun

which MOBO
Hi Dazz Maybe your right. I have just been reading all the hype about IB and i thought that might have been the answers to my prayers. I am not all that confident about OC and even with my set up when flying in and about Orbx scenery i am still down in the low teens for FPS. I built the system myself and i think i need to try and understand more about getting the most out of what i have. Cheers Shaun

Hi All Thanks for your advice. Cheers Shaun.

which MOBO
Hi I thought the new ivy bridge is going to be a 2011 chip that these boards would support with a bios upgrade. Regards Shaun.

which MOBO
Hi Everyone Can someone advise me please, out of the ASUS X79 Pro and the Gigabyte X79 UD7 which of the two would make the better choice for a new build. I'm trying to look into the future here as what will support the new Ivy Bridge cpu. Or maybe there is some other board someone could recommend. Kind Regards Shaun
