October 27, 201213 yr As you can tell from the picture in my sig I'll be getting this. I'm travelling now, but first on my list when I get back... http://forum.avsim.net/store/product/180-north-american-f-86-sabre-by-milviz/
October 27, 201213 yr Yea, it looks nice but it's used. It has a lot of miles on it and I think they should sell it cheaper  They did a great job with the VC Bob Officially retired
October 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member Mmm I think you could simulate some really epic dogfights with this and excellent Mig-15 simulation from Bear Studios.
October 27, 201213 yr Got the plane and it is beautiful. There is a disproportionate tiny pilot figure which is stuck under the glass canopy when it is open. The pilot looks a dwarf lost in a huge plane.
October 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member well.. he's pretty thin from all the stress... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.

October 27, 201213 yr Gosh, Bill - you would admit to being of the Hradrani? Male hradani are subject to mad flares of violent anger, known as the Rage. Because of this, and because they served the dark, albeit unwillingly, during the Fall of Kontovar, they are generally hated and feared. After the Fall they fled to deserted areas and were generally reduced to barbarism. This one might stick... :LMAO: i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
October 27, 201213 yr I only have about 30 minutes in it, but it is awesome. It's my favorite "old-school" military jet for FSX already. Shane Gavin
October 27, 201213 yr Hi Has any one tried this out in P3D. They say they are only offering FSX support at the moment. Cheers Shaun
October 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member Actually, that;s NOT what I said. What I said was... we will offer help IF we can... and it does work. Some people (two so far) seem to be experiencing a CTD on exiting the flight but it went away after a reboot... (possible memory leak?) Anyway... It is working in P3D. October 27, 201213 yr Moderator Hi Has any one tried this out in P3D. They say they are only offering FSX support at the moment. Several weeks ago I installed one of the mid-beta versions into P3D without problems, and flew it around a bit to confirm that it did work. I just installed the release build into my P3D (Developer's Edition) and test it out just fine as well. I did experience one CTD until I closed P3D, rebooted the computer, then loaded/unloaded and changed aircraft a half-dozen times without any further problems. Fr. But I guess we are not allowed to express our opinion, Father? October 27, 201213 yr Moderator Gosh, Bill - you would admit to being of the Hradrani? This one might stick... :LMAO: But, the "Rage" has been (mostly) cured now, thanks to Bahzell and Tomanâk's intervention, the which has allowed us to form the nascent Federation. I'm currently reading David Weber's new entry into the story, "War Maid's Choice." Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
October 28, 201213 yr Moderator I was immediately struck by how small the pilot appeared when I saw the screen shots. But I guess we are not allowed to express our opinion, Father? Of course you're allowed such. I never implied otherwise. However, the pilot is in fact filling the seat well, and is a measured six foot tall when stood upright (in Max of course). Nonetheless, there are pilots who're anywhere from 5'6'' to 6'2' or thereabouts. Much taller and they wouldn't be able to get into the cockpit... :p0503: Fr. October 28, 201213 yr The pilot figure in this otherwise MAGNIFICENT rendition of the ol' Sabre sits way too much 'squashed back' into his seat. Let me take a wild guess: the designer looked for a way to circumvent the fact that all F-86 pilots, no matter how tall or short they were, had to duck their heads in order to let the front canopy frame pass by during canopy closing/opening. Otherwise : cheers, jan Jan
