Hello everyoneWell I've just bought a new MCP but after following what little info that came with it I've installed software etc but when I star up FS and software the panel does not control properly?? For instance the speed control knob operates the heading bug and heading operates v/s and so on and knobs don't do anything.Can anyone out there help me as I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, I've never had any equipment like this so it's completely alien to me! Hope someone can help as I haven't got much hair to pull out :)Regards all

Hi, don't use the vrinsight software. Download the latest linda software, and die happy (its kind of good).Just google it, or there's a specific linda board here at avsim.Ive got the boeing mcp like you and it works flawlessly. The only thing i found was i had to set it to load automatically with fsx in the menu to get the ngx working perfectly.

I have tried everything but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.I have ehtered the VRInsight Forum too and am just waiting for activation so maybe I will get somewhere then?? Hello againWell I've just checked out the Linda software and it doesn't support FS9 and as this is my current weapon of choice I'm a bit stuck :(Nevermind I may get there in the end??regards

AndyDigital should be around soon to help you, but you never said which addon you are having problems with. Not every Addon is supported easily, some require specific keymaps be installed, etc. Not sure if you're using the SerialFp or the new Vrisim software if not below is a link totheir newest software and a list of compatible addons, once you get forum access there are some user mods also.http://www.vrinsight.com/public_html/index.php?module=Goods&action=SiteGoods1&sMode=SELECT_FORM&sCurrSortCd=003001

HiThanks for your reply, sorry I forgot to say which add on, I use both FS9 PMDG Boeing 737NG and 744 and occasionally Level D 767 but mainly PMDG. Hope this clarifies things? I thought this was compatible from the off but everything is mixed up on the buttons and knobs!!I have posted on VRINSIGHT Forum and waiting for response but as I said I am a complete novice with these things. I very much doubt all three aircraft do not work as expected, correct? Probably just the PMDG aircraft you are having issues with I expect. Did you run the panel installer application and select the 737NG? If not then thats most likely why you are getting strange mixed up controls.Run the panel installer as Admin too if you have Windows7, Vista or XP SP3 as an OS and you haven't turned off UAC. Have a read through the VRi forum too you will find numerous posts about the old 737.

Hi AndyWell I've tried everything I could and eventually I have some joy with the knobs adjusting what they should but the buttons aren't all what I have labelled them up as via the pictures that came with the panel. Do I have to program these then or am I still doing something wrong? I was using the desktop shortcut but nothing worked but now I'm using the software from the program's list that's got most things working, if you could just clarify my last question please that would be much appreciated, thanks again for your repliesCheers
