Xtreme FSX PC V2

Featured Replies

Dear All, Has anyone tested that FSX performance utility ? Curious to know how much value it really adds vs. the other well know tweaks.RegardsKarim

Hm, let's Google...Ah, here it is:http://secure.simmarket.com/fsps-xtreme-fsx-pc.phtmlNah, just a fancy interface for editing and tweaking the cdg. I wouldn't spend one cent on it. It adds nothing new.

Thanks a lot. I'll stay clear of it !

Me says that the free work of Bojote and some other friendly Avsim fellows acts as the basis of this now payware. Seems like they only change the names of the app from time to time. Personal impression.I'd visit Bojote's site and then drop him ten or more Dollars donation before I would use such a tool. In fact, I did as suggested a while ago.

It is way more than only a fsx.cfg editor. In the past I always tweaked FSX and Windows myself. Later I tried *******' tweaks ( also the online veriosn ).But with Xtreme FSx PC I have the highest fps and the most stabil FSX.

I have this software as well but to be honest I don't see much of an improvement when I use it.Bojote's tweaks do not work here either for that matter (they actually make everything much worse).Out of curiosity, what settings do you use with xtreme fsx pc ? Do you have everything ticked in the "autogen and effects options" page ?Thanksvic

I wouldn't blame anyone using it, but I see it as a mixed bag. Some folks were lucky and achieved some of the advertised things, others did not get much out of it. A friend of mine eventually gave up on it. Same as on the well known tweaks around, but those things come for free.I personally prefer to actually know about the things I've tweaked and changed, so I don't trust any magic buttons by design. Therefore, pretty much personal preference I think.

I think it's good. Lots of us have our systems running perfectly after spending half our lives reading forums. Not everyone has that time.Only thing I don't like is the "renaming" of things. There are sliders with labels that are obviously meant to make sense to people who don't know a thing, but I still want to know what I'm doing to fsx.cfg here.
