It lasted for arround a week till it was closed again cause lots of guys abused that chat for just advertising their topics and writing every minute how urgend their problem is. February 7, 201214 yr Alex, as a recently assigned moderator here, I can understand how much you would love to have this facility but, you must realise that most of the fans of Avsim are flight simmers that only visit the forums breifly to check what peoples opinion might be and to ask for help with their problems (If any).Most wish they could spend more time to participate in this hobby of ours instead of just perusing these pages for the latest news and chat.I have participated when it was live and found it very spasmodic so it's easy to realise why it was discontinued with. As has been said, it requires a full time 24/7 moderator and that just isn't possible nor is there enough demand for it on a forum facility.Why not consider starting one of your own on for instance, Facebook or Twitter etc.I will close with, all the Mods on here do the job in their spare time. We too are flight simmers and like to indulge in the hobby as much as you do.I hope that explains the situation? Dave Taylor
