Houses too big

Featured Replies

Since getting FTX, and other great sceneries I have noticed the size of the houses as autogen being massive. They are like mansions. Does anyone share this view?I really enjoy the scenery that I have, I am just commenting.......Daniel

There were some threads about this a year ago.Cheers,- jahman.

The over-sized buildings and trees, in particular, have been a topic of discussion for quite some time. I do remember seeing someone resizing the trees and offering them as a free download. I'm sure that a search in the Avsim library will bring it up.

Ya, I agree, FTX, UTX, GEX whoever makes autogen makes WAY to big, park a Cessna near a "house" in your autogen and you'll see!

It's because FSX default autogen is a tad large :)

I'm guessing this is a deliberate choice to get a bigger visual impact out of the same complexity objects. In other words: if you made the houses a realistic size, you would need more of them to fill a texture tile, which would require more processing power.

Cheers,

That is exactly right!
