Stormy KDFW departure

Featured Replies

When I saw deadlyiniertia's post with the similar topic, I couldn't believe how similar it was to my real world KDFW-KATL flight this morning...Here is the AA 738 wing shot I took as we were bouncing through the clouds. And here is another shot as we broke out a little while later. Here she is at gate T12 in KATL (sorry for the bad shot...camera phone). And here is a paintjob I'm working on of the exact same plane! :((Working on the alpha layer and you can see what part of the fuse I'm testing to tweak it before I apply it to all the sections).Regards,Steve Dra

Very nice, Steve. Dallas must be getting the system that went through Tucson yesterday. Can't wait to see that repaint when it's done!

Thanks Guys.@ John....might be a bit...I have a few other paints in the shop, and I'll need permission to use these textures as I'm porting them from a POSKY model to the iFly model.@ Al...yeah, my camera phone sucks, but my paint brushes are working fine. :( This will be for the iFly model.@ Jamaljé...As Darth noted, I've been painting a long time....over 10 years now...sheez....its been a long time. Is this real or flight-sim? Can't tell......Darryl

Wpw, I may have dowloaded one of either of you two Vets paints before, I'd just like to extend my gratitude, keep doing what I fail at haha.

You're welcome Jamaljé. I enjoy giving back to the community, and my painting career started when I wanted a livery nobody would paint, so I tried it....about 6 weeks later I finished it, LoL. Now I can do one in about 6 hours if its a model and airline I've painted before (and its not a metal paint...they are the hardest by far to get looking right).Hey Darryl....hoping you can tell the last one is flightsim...the others are from my flight on Saturday morning from Dallas.Regards,Steve Dra
