February 20, 201214 yr Hi folks!Having a bit trouble saving flightplans without the SID. I'm unable to access the AIRWAYS selection key without choosing a SID first. I guess there must be a way to delete the SID, and then wha'ts left is the flight plan from airport to airport! This is what I want to save :)Anyone?RegardsMorten Haughom Edited February 20, 201214 yr by mortenha69 ----------------------------------------------- Morten Haughom Greetings from the sticks! February 20, 201214 yr You could follow my tutorial (I really wrote it for PMDG aircraft).Export the file as type PMDGand save in your PMDGFlightplans folderThen you can load it as a company plan. February 20, 201214 yr Commercial Member Sounds like you are trying to start a flightplan without a waypoint first. Even though the flight plan starts with an airway, to enter it into the system, you'll have to start with a VOR. In most cases, the VOR is right on the field. MEM and BWI both use certain routings where the flight plan starts with a Jet Airway. In those cases, just look for the VOR on the field and set that as the first waypoint. Then use the AIRWAYS page off of that.Example:The flight plan J42 GVE DYLIN4 would be MEM J42 GVE DYLIN4 in the FMS. Edited February 20, 201214 yr by scandinavian13 Kyle Rodgers
February 20, 201214 yr Either a navaid or a fix on the airway will get you started. In Kyle's example, the next fix along J42 going NE is BNA so you could enter BNA J42 GVE ... Dan Downs KCRP
