  1. But what about CereProc? Buying a voice from CereProc makes it mine, no subscription? Easy to install and use? Voice can be chosen in P2A?
  2. Very Interesting Burge! Looking at their page, installation and use seems very simple. Install and done! Right? I haven't even made a Polly profile yet, so no money spent sofar. Just a couple of questions: Buying a voice from CereProc makes it mine, no subscription? Easy to install and use? Voice can be chosen in P2A? Morten
  3. I have been so exited about Polly Amazon voices since I saw this video on youtube. But finding out how to get it working has been a nightmare. First off I haven't done any sort of testing sofar. I have only tried to gather information about the facts and the process. The only thing I have done sofar is create a user at AWS (Provider of the service). I have come across this tutorial: https://torontoai.org/2019/09/25/using-amazon-polly-in-windows-applications/ Because I have understood from the video that PILOT2ATC uses the windows TTS engine to generate speech inside the application. Is this where I should start? Kind Regards Morten
  4. Yes! It worked! Cannot really point to any reason. The only thing I can think of is possible Microsoft WIN10 updates that made this happen. Purchased the add-on in late April but never used it. Anyway, looking forward to use P2A, really exiting 🙂 Thanx Dave!
  5. Being Impatient for a reply, I am going to attempt a complete reinstall of P2A. It is a long time since I installed this add-on. Let's see what happens 🙂
  6. Hi fellow simmers, I am at a loss here. The P2A app will not connect to the sim. I am an experienced user of MSFS and FSUIPC (Or at least I thought I was) I am new to P2A though, but I have been reading the setup guide and watched several Youtube videos to get it right. Here is what I've done sofar: 1. Downloaded the latest versions of both P2A and FSUIPC for MSFS. (P2A ver. 2.6.4.2_x64 and FSUIPC ver. 7.3.25) 2. Assigned a callsign in Config (NAX229). 3. Assigned buttons for PTT and SayIt in Config. 4. Imported a valid OPS flightplan from Simbrief. 5. Verified that FSUIPC is connected to the sim. Being in my aircraft at an airport. (The title for the FSUIPC window reads: Simulator is available: Connected) Pushing the Connect button in P2A does not produce a "green" connect verification. But pushing it twice gives a "Simulator Disconnected" message in the lower right on the P2A screen. - Don't have a registered version of FSUIPC. - Haven't made any config related changes in MSFS. - I believe I don't need a WebSocket Server in FSUIPC. - I believe that the FSUIPC config file does not need to be changed. What am I doing wrong here?
  7. My first flight ever, 6 years old, was in a DC-9. The very reason I got into aviation. And my first run in with the maddog was with FSX nearly two decades ago in FSX. I immediately realized the fidelity and the level of immersion this simulation had to offer. I only loaded it 10-15 times back then. I was building 737 flightdeck with my father and it consumed most of my leisure time. But it remained and itch that I wanted to scratch ever since. The thread is full of testimonies stating that this is the de-facto standard for a study-level sim in general consumer marked... period. A year ago I purchased the Rotate MD-80 version for x-plane. I finally had the time to go all in. And I did, 50+ flights to date. However, you sense that something is missing. And my thoughts went back to those few days I had with the maddog. The thrill of handling a simulation so close to the real one isn't something easily forgotten My excitement went through the roof when I heard of the MSFS release. But I am a Boeing desktop driver at heart. And I bought a brand new PC for the sole purpose of flying PMDG simulations in MSFS one month ago. So question for me is; do I want to get disrupted immersing myself in MSFS maddog, just to be interrupted when PMDG releases? It takes me about 10-20 flights to get it all right. Handling, procedures, take-off, approaches etc. Immensely satisfying period, the first few months. So I am going wait. Get PMDG out of my system, and then get the maddog later. In an ideal world, where I am a grown up, this will happen. But, then again, this bird has stuck with me since childhood. The chances I'll regress and act as a child on saturday, is very likely. Price? Not an issue. I get my money worth every time I fire up the sim. I'll eat oatmeal 3 times a day for as long as it takes.
  8. Better order a long drink, according to some, this can take a while😁
  9. Thanks Bthiago! But no help. Somewhat irritating, that it should be so hard to find a simple offset. PM doesn't make it easy anymore, supportwise...
  10. Hi people! Trying to find the offset that controls the outflow valve gauge on the 737. Sysvar.txt not helpful.
  11. It is coming from the system itself it seems. The title bar of the dialogue window says "User Access Control"
  12. Ok, didn't really wanna wait around only to find out that this going to take a complete reinstall, so that is what I'm going to do first. And I did, and it's getting worse... "This publisher has been blocked from running software on your machine" Now I'm really scared... Help
  13. Hi folks! From one reboot to another I'm unable to start ChPl. A red dialogue box, with no other option than to close it when I'm done reading, pops up. It says: "This app has been blocked for your protection" Body: "An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator." An administrator? What administrator? I am the only administrator on this WIN10 system! I am running FSX on an adminstrator account. I have shut down UAC I have ticked the Advanced property box saying "Run as adminstrator" for executing ChasePlane.exe It is not installed in the Program Files directory I have rebooted several times. Do I have a virus? Help please...
  14. I use something similar when i assigned my SAITEK PRO THQ. With FSUIPC I send F2 repeatedly when I move the levers to press the momentary switch at the lower end of the POT scale. Moving it back to POT=0, and thus releasing the momentary switch, I use the FSUIPC command "Thottle off" (or was it "idle", not at home, will check). Don't think it will solve Eric's problem though, as he wants the range of the reversers to be controlled. As soon as you hit F2, it will increase reverse thrust until you let go of the key...
  15. Hi AS16 users! I'm trying to make AS16 autostart during WIN10 boot, by adding AS16 under "run" in the registry. Neither "current user": HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run or "all users": HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Worked! There's one more place to put the run statement: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run But I haven't tried it yet, since it should work for all user using the second path in the registry. None of the other autostart apps have this problem. I'm also running ASCA, and starting AS16, also start ASCA when I execute AS16.EXE by double clicking the AS16 shortcut. Perhaps the problem is with this combination? I.e. the one application, loads another one? Any thoughts?
  16. I believe a VAS OOM is caused by more than just GPU memory leakage. VAS is a design limit in how the OS handles memory adress space for processes. 2(3)GB in a 32-bit environment and 4GB in a 64-bit environment. How the GPU memory factors into this I don't know. But I'm pretty certain VAS OOM problems for both FSX and PD3 is not over...
  17. SOLVED!! It was actually very easy. My only excuse is that I haven't configured double monitors using Surround Display: No go there... Hmmm! This was the fix: 1. Use NVIDIA Control panel to set up Surround displays 1a. Check BEZEL using the on-screen tool. 1b.Check resolution, worked with "Bezel Corrected" (3985x1080 in my case) 2. Change resolution in FSX to your Bezel corrected res.: 3985x1080x32 I'm a bit embarrassed actually, hastily asking for help while not even checking out youtube videos...
  18. How? Looking in VFXCentral, no updates pops up!?! How do I install 0.2.9? Yup! worked like a charm! Thanks Keven :)
  19. How? Looking in VFXCentral, no updates pops up!?! How do I install 0.2.9?
  20. I has finally dawned on me that this is no cakewalk. TripleHead2Go seems to be the "standard" solution in the old days. You simply cannot "stretch" a FSX view beyond its preset resolutions without help from the OS or the HW! A novel slap in the face really Have been looking at the sticky post on 3 monitors, will continue from there...
  21. Aah! This actually puts my mind at ease. Ithought it was something worse on my end. Waiting for the patch/update to arrive :)
  22. Currently not focusing so much on the issue, want to get the FPS up first. But using the Surround Display mode doesn't seem the way to go, it garbles the screen completely... so no go there... Going to do the "standard" FSX tweaks before I continue, get my graphics and FPS in order... Will report :)
  23. Hi fellow simmers! My rig has arrived and not being used to WIN10, or twin monitors for that matter. I cannot get FSX to span across both monitors in full view mode. Don't know where to start, but here's my setup: 1. WIN10 Installed, FSX with both SP installed (nothing else really at this point). 2. GeForce GTX770 Display card 3. LG Flatron E2211 (monitors) drivers installed 4. In the NVIDIA Control panel I've set the "Surround Display" Mode. Which makes the desktop behave like there's two monitors. But I only see the taskbar on one of the screens Any suggestions? Regards
