February 24, 201214 yr Author Excellent News me hearties!! I purchased EZDOK expecting it not to work(for the reasons given at the start of this thread). But no, in it went, and everything is just great!! I'm bouncing about the cockpit just as I hoped!! :Nerd:One thing tho'.... I presume the version I downloaded was 1.15. Is it worth me now upgrading to 1.17? And is there a cost involved?

March 14, 201214 yr Not sure how helpful my suggestion is but...I would run memory and hard drive tests. If they pass then I would do a format and reinstall of the whole system. If you don't know how to do these things then bring it to a pc service shop you trust. The alternative is trying to chase problems for possibly days or more. A format has all the other benefits of a fresh install also.If you don't have any of the original software disc's/keys then you may be out of luck. Formatting is something that you will have to do eventually, it's just a matter of when.Good luck.
March 15, 201214 yr IF he uses Acronis backup (or something similar) of the c drive then he never would have to reinstall anything. My advice would be, once he gets the EZDOK thinbgi fixed. Get Acronis or something similar and back up your C drive.:)I have been hit with virus and what not, and I have restored my C drive completely many a times. The best investment I ever made was on Acronis. After a very bad experience of losing tons of freeware addon sceneries I was working on and tools and knowledge I lost (I have not recovered from that yet)Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
April 6, 201214 yr Author Ahoy there! Just an update. I eventually cured the dinput8.dll error by unplugging a USB device that I had charging from the PC. It seems that the problem was related to a HID (Human Interface Device) error? I had no idea that by plugging a new USB device into the PC that it could throw up problems with the software! However EZDOK is back working now, although it still refuses to shut down properly, and throws the "EZDOK has encountered a problem and needs to close window" when I shut down FSX. Just thought this may help other users with the dinput8.dll error problem?
