Should there be an error log? I got one the first time, so I just redownloaded and reinstalled and it worked fine. It was an extraction error.

have / had this too. at home I by now downloaded 8 times and always got an error. Then restartet Win7 and the recommendation to run CHKDSK came up. So I let CHKDSK check my C: drive and headed to the office. Just downloaded FLIGHT on my office laptop and installed it without hassles. So it must be my home PC, hope that the CHKDSK thing did the trick when I come home later today.

This solved the problem for me:1) Go to (in Windox XP, adapt for your particular system...) C:Documents and Settings<User>Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftGFWLiveDownloads2) Extract the .cab file there to a folder3) Execute (As Admin if your user does not have admin priv) the Setup.exeThat's it!

On my Win7 system I kept getting installation errors, with cryptic codes that were of no help after Googling them!I finally got around them by instructing the installer NOT to make a Desktop or Start Menu entry. Bingo! Back flying. I found where Flight installed, got the .EXE file and right-clicked to pin it to the Taskbar. Works just fine that way.
