February 29, 201214 yr I may have just missed this, but for the life of me I cannot find out how to go full screen view in Flight. As in no cockpit, just the dials....I guess it looks like a FPS game view. (used to be "W" in FSX when in cockpit mode "f10").The cockpit is nice and all, but I want to look around Hawaii without going to external view so I can decide if I will buy the rest of the islands.Nothing in the manual, but then its pretty light really.I hope you know what I mean.
February 29, 201214 yr Nope no option, the only views you have is cockpit, free look (Same as Spot view in FSX), Chase view (Fixed view from the rear), Top down view, flyby, and remote. (Same as flyby but stationary from the point set. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
February 29, 201214 yr Author OK, thanks for that. Bummer. Is that the case with the Maule add-on too? I guess it is as I don't see a key for view options. I know they have tried to make Flight appeal-able to more people, which is fine, but I really like to fly full screen once up in the air, so I can enjoy the views. Maybe they will add it in later.I suppose a track-ir will make things easier....bit of am expensive solution though.
February 29, 201214 yr I hope they add the full screen view as well... I really miss it from FSX....and as best I know the Track-ir support is missing as well.. Bert

February 29, 201214 yr You could turn on the HUD and use CTRL-W to move your viewpoint forward. ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
February 29, 201214 yr Holding down CTRL-W for about 15 secs will actually move you up and above the plane - it works!Good find, Arwen, now lets figure out how to save and recall this view.. Bert
February 29, 201214 yr I haven't figured out a way to save views. What I did was to assigned the eyepoint forward. back, right, and left to my Saitel X52 joystick's second POV hat. Then I edited flight's control settings (make sure you make a back up of the standard.XML file first): Path: C:Users<your user name>AppDataLocalMicrosoftFlightPlayers<string of numbers and letters>CareerControlsstandard.XMLunder:<SimControls.Map> <MapName>Saitek X52 Flight Control System{FD85B5D0-6F9D-11DD-8001-444553540000}</MapName>I found: <EventName>EYEPOINT_FORWARD</EventName>and added the line: <Repeat>32.000000</Repeat>I added the <Repeat>32.000000</Repeat>, after <EventName>EYEPOINT_RIGHT</EventName>, <EventName>EYEPOINT_BACK</EventName>, and after <EventName>EYEPOINT_LEFT</EventName>Now I have a fully functioning second POV hat (which is something I fought for during the beta testing). ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
March 1, 201214 yr Moderator Arwen, I know you're busy and all, but could you take a few moments to post your "Tip" as a "Tutorial" in the new Flight Tutorial section?I really, really cannot possibly fill this new feature all by myself... :Peace: Fr.
