Here are the results: The first picture is at KEWR waiting at the end of the runway in one of my Airbus A320's (sans the 2D cockpit). The second was on takeoff from Central Jersey Regional in my usual C182. You can see the FPS readings in the shots. This was done at 1280x1024x32, 85 Hz refresh, & aniso set at 8x. The only thing I witnessed was the usual micro-second stutter I see when loading textures in built-up areas. I usually fly metro NYC the same as all other areas - full autogen, max detail. I witnessed MAJOR delays using the original set where I usually test my military aircraft at KEDW. The airbase is the only thing visible in that scenery!I'll take one of my F-16's for a check ride in the morning to see the effect there (wife's asleep - engines on that would get me killed here at 1:00am!)If Chris is willing to allow me, I'll upload these newer textures for those that want to try them.Scotthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69881.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69882.jpg

One last shot - here's the same as above, only with the originals. Do you guys think they lost too much detail to still be useable?ScottP.s. - I forgot to sharpen the last shots after I shrunk them :(http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69884.jpg

Scott,Why don't you set this up as a new thread in the screenies forum? This one's been around a while, and I wonder how many people are actually going to see it here. :)
