March 4, 201214 yr Hi, i've started to gain more and more interest for carenado products and now i think i'm avaiable to buy one of their products, but i started thinking wich one to buy... The only one i know well in real life is the C152 and C172 but i looked at it and i seemed to simple for me to buy, so i'd like to know wich one do you think is the most fun to pilot... I'm thinking in the malibu, but i think it is a little expensive...
March 4, 201214 yr heyWhat about the C340 or B58? Or are you kinda looking for a single engine plane? If you want something more than a C152 or 172 theres a couple of other choices. The A36 Bonanza is good or the Commander 114, the CT210 or the C337 Basically anything you buy you will like so :Dfrom those I like the C337. What about waiting for the C90?hope this gives you some ideaslee
March 4, 201214 yr Author Well i don't know much about GA planes but i want to start doing some VFR for a change and i don't want those default GAs so i looked in carenado website... I want a plane wich is fast, but also has good sistems (the C172 for example is too simple...) and on carenado's product page the first one was the malibu and it looked nice to me. I'll check your suggestions, thanks!

I'll check your suggestions, thanks! For pure ability to see out of the cockpit for VFR, the C337 is tough to beat and is a very nice handling plane with good power from the inline twin engines (the auto pilot is a bit on the "odd side" if you ask me, but still very useable). For pure "get up and go" the C210 is a great plane, and the turbo engine is a great mill for higher altitude fields - the flight characteristics are quite nice, but its a little sleeker of a rig and requires that you pay attention to your airspeed very closely on landing or it can float on you a bit. I enjoy the Bonanzas as well, since the view from a low wing plane is very nice in general and in the pattern (though of course not direct down from the cockpit), and they are very forgiving to fly while being decently powerful - just my two cents, grab one and go!
March 4, 201214 yr Author I just wish carenado had some demo option were you could try their plane for some time... even if it was only 10 mins, at least i'd now a little bit more wich one to buy, i'll keep looking for the products and i'll try to make a choice... thanks for your reply

March 4, 201214 yr Author Well now the ones i'm more in doubt to buy are the A36 BONANZA and C337H SKYMASTER, changing of subject a little how is the grand caravan? Its also a possible buying for me
March 4, 201214 yr The Grand Caravan is somewhat similar to the Caravan that comes with FSX, it flies like a heavy bus.The Bonanza is a luxury personal aircraft that holds 4-6 people - it used to be called the "Doctors and Lawyers" favorite airplane..The C337 is more of a utility airplane, but has the attraction of having two engines..I happen to like the F33 Bonanza.. it has conventional gauges which I like - the A36 has Aspen glass gaugeswhich I find less appealing.. March 4, 201214 yr Author well i'm glad someone wich so much knowlege on GA stopped by to help me! Thanks a lot for the help
March 5, 201214 yr If you're mainly interested in VFR but still want a more complex GA aircraft (retractable gear, constant speed prop, etc) I'd also recommend either the V35 or F33 Bonanzas, or the 337 if you're interested in a slightly unusual GA twin with great VC visibility, something most GA twins don't offer. All offer good visibility for VFR flying, but still make good IFR platforms if you want them to. If you go with one of these Bonanzas, be sure to download the "optional" patch for either, which offers a much improved FDE from Bernt Stolle who also did the A36 and 337 (and the Malibu) FDE's. It made my V35 a much better airplane. The A36 Bonanza is a very nice plane as well but, like Bert, I prefer analog gauges and I also like the older style Bonanza/Baron panels (both in the real world and the sim) with their larger engine gauges. The A36 is my least flown Carenado as a consequence, but these are personal preferences, so others will disagree. The 210 would also be a good choice and turbocharging is nice to have if you're flying out of high altitude airports, but it doesn't offer quite the visiblity the Bonanzas and 337 do, due to it's smaller side windows, more forward placed wing, and high panel. I have more hours in the 210 than any other Carenado, but since buying the 337 it's slowly moving back in useage as when I want to fly a high wing Cessna I generally jump to the 337 unless I'm trying to get out of a short high altitude mountain strip. As others have noted, the Malibu, though a fun plane that I'm enjoying a lot, just isn't a good VFR choice. WIth its pressurized cabin with attendant small windows, the VC visibility isn't that great, and with the turbine it's a jump in, climb to the flight levels and go somewhere kind of airplane. Down low, for all practical purposes, the Bonanzas, 337 and 210 are about as fast.Hope this helps,Scott Edited March 5, 201214 yr by tttocs
