March 5, 201214 yr I downloaded and installed the new Flight app, but can only get the balloon mission. The Map facility is grayed out.Can someone please tell me how to enable it?Thanks
March 5, 201214 yr You have to complete the first two easy missions before you can get to free flight Best, Michael KDFW
March 5, 201214 yr Finish the Baloon mission, then the Wedding Party mission. Then the game will open up for you.Unfortunately, these missions are mandatory and there's no way around them. Even if you're a flying veteran like myself. Think of them as a familiarization flight with Flight. ;-pWildBill

March 5, 201214 yr Welcome to AVSIM.I have seen you saying this a lot lately. And it is great. My memory fails me, but I can not remember seeing this many new people when the last 2 versions of The Franchise were released. Am I wrong, or are we witnessing how MS seems to be succeeding in bringing new folks into PC flying?Welcome rmcohen!

March 5, 201214 yr Author OK! Thanks for all the replies! Is this procedure documented somewhere? I seem to have missed it. (If not documented: hint, hint!)Will get to work on those missions now.I've used FS since the 80's. Before Microsoft bought it. But only very casually. This version looks to be the best yet. Thanks again, guys.

One tip: Do both missions, and if you don't ace them, don't worry, you can always go back later and do them again, gaining more XP points.(if you care about that) No they are not documented, that is why so many people have complained. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
