Can I move the aircraft backwards to avoid colliding with the hanger?

I found myself in the same position. decided to test the strength of the back wall of the hanger. did not get out of the hanger..
Don't hit the runway signs either! They are as solid as a rock.

I've got used kind of running over them in fsx - not a good habit! I like Flight's improved collision detection.

As I wrote a few days ago, while searching for the "LOST Props" at Dillingham, I managed to get the nosewheel of my ICON A5 on top of the starboard wing of one of the wrecked bombers there in the woods...I wish I'd thought to take a screenshot!

I quickly learned to try not to get into any pushback situations :) - Probably very much like real life. . .I would like to see the ability to get out of the plane, engine off of course, and be able to push the plane back, but I don't miss the Shift-P command. If you do get stuck, as someone already mentioned, go to map mode and move your plane a pixel and you should be good - which is just a different way than doing Shift-P - both are very unrealistic
Most hangars I've seen need the planes pushed in and pulled out again, and you often park with the prop inwards, only to push the plane out again before you get in it. So this would be a realistic function to have when you're in "walk" mode, I think. Only it should probably be a pull instead of a push, since walking anywhere NEAR a wall will currently lead to getting stuck in it forever, so I give those hangars a wide berth when walking :).
