March 5, 201214 yr I've got three custom cfg's and I want them all to render 5m terrain mesh. I've got it set to 10m now and the required value is apparently 22.[TERRAIN]LOD_RADIUS=6.500000MESH_COMPLEXITY=100MESH_RESOLUTION=22Does anyone know what will set 5m? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

March 6, 201214 yr Why? One can set it in "Settings".Really? I think you missed the point, GHD.How does one find out that M. Res of "5m" is equal to "23" without first running FSX -->Settings, then opening up the fsx.cfgn to see what it translates to? How does one do the same thing with Tex..Res.? This is a well-thought-out chart, with excellent diagrams, one I've never seen in almost thirty years of simming. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 6, 201214 yr Author Why? One can set it in "Settings".The reason this was important to me was because anytime I change the sliders in FSX my cfg's become rewritten...So I created separate configs for certain areas (lower settings in Orbx land for example). The simplest way to change the mesh from 10m to 5m was to find that number. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
